Just a quick post, and a quick wash and prep of my 370z before I put the car cover on for the winter. I just purchased it end of August this year. It only has 6000 miles on it. I don't think it's ever been clayed because this is the results from half of the roof, IMG_4425 by J M Gale, on Flickr Im saving a full correction for the spring when weather warms up a bit. I really just wanted to make sure it was clean before the car cover went on. After the clay I did a coat of MPL, Sonus on the tires, and wiped down the engine, IMG_4437 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4436 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4441 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4435 by J M Gale, on Flickr Here she is covered up. I bought the cover from CoverQuest. They are very good as far as shipping to Canada goes. I opted for the Noah fabric even though it will only be stored indoors. I'm very happy with the fit and finish of the cover, IMG_4421 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4420 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4419 by J M Gale, on Flickr IMG_4443 by J M Gale, on Flickr Thanks for looking!
Very cool! I always want to do a thread like this with pics, but I get soo excited whenever I detail, I just can't allow myself to take these moments to snap pics of what I am doing. Maybe one day...
Nice work on the Z. I forward to seeing the full correction in 2012. Thank you for the motivation, as I need to complete a winter prep.
Thanks! You owe it to yourself to document the sweet details you do. It kept getting delayed and I was worried I wouldn't get it done before the snow came, I was also waiting for the car cover to arrive. I got lucky to find a couple hours this past weekend to hammer it out. Now I have to try to be patient and wait out the winter so I can tackle the correction. I'll have a full write-up for sure. Good luck with your winter prep! Yep, she's all snuggled up with the cover and battery maintainer. The only winter she'll see is when one of the other cars leaves the garage. lol
Sharp looking ride. For the foam - maybe try adding a few extra ounces of soap. My cocktails in my foam cannon usually have at least 4 ounces of soap which produces a blizzard on the car.
I think in order to produce massive foam you would need a foam cannon hooked up to a pressure washer. I had a foam gun, and I know the feeling of wanting more foam.
Thank you! Good tip! I'm only using about 1 oz of soap so next time I will try 4+ oz. I'm going to give it another try... next spring... If I don't get the results I want then I'll try the pressure washer and foam cannon.
You know, with what we pay in taxes I had expected the municipatity to build a glass bubble over the town to protect us from the snow... :thumb: I sent you a PM.
Looks good, I found the Foam Gun is OK for foam the foam cannon with a pressure washer is the foam master. You can use Duragloss 591 in a Foam Gun for some good foam.
