Ok, this car is new with just over 2,000 miles on the clock. The car is also acrylic black, and was prepped by the dealership. 2 very contradictory sentences yes? So that said your expectations of what the finish might be like, are well, dead on.

Ok, well seeing as this 2008 Mazda 6 belongs to my girlfriend, this finish IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! I really want my girl riding around looking flawless, so seeing as I had all week with it while she's out of town...all my effort, skill, experience, energy, and expertise came out for the pursuit of the flawless black finish. Something Very hard to obtain, and something that laughs at you, and beats you up, and mocks your attempts....BUT MY PAINT CORRECTION PIMP HAND WAS WAY STRONG! Many times I wanted to just move to the next panel when a RID wouldn't budge, but I dedicated myself, and spent close to 3 hours on each panel making it as flawless as humanly possible. Take a look!

Those are most of my befores. Lots of water spots even on the doors, and swirls, and tons of RIDS and light scratches.

here are some nice 50/50 shots!

man, LOTS of dust from LOTS of polishing!

So outside for the sun pics, but the clouds drowned out the sharp rays....what a bummer!
(from what I could see the finish was absolutely flawless as the sun came in and out)

    MIRROR!

Time for a Wash to remove all that dust!
P21S TAW wash used to remove all polishing residue

dried using only a leaf blower (the finish was so slick it just flew off!)

and a double check for marring after the wash:

    NICE!!!!
Time for LSP. I actually originally planned on Swissvax Mystery being my best wax for my favorite girl:) But I've been running into problems with these high nuba waxes in the extreme heat here in SC especially on black paint which gets quite toasty, and causes the wax to sweat like crazy hazing the surface up alot and making the paint look like crap after sitting out in the sun for more than an hour. That said, einszett was chosen, as it is synthetic and tested with no hazing already:applause2:

once you see the finished pics, you'll agree this was a smart choice! (very zaino like reflection if not better IMO)

forgive me my picture taking skills are novice at best especially after a sweaty tiring couple of days, my hands were a little shaky, but I managed to get some very nice pics

sorry some dust on the paint settled (I took these pics after about 6 hours after I removed the wax and gave it a cold water wipedown)
