This is the final car lined up for this week..thankfully b/c I was getting pretty tired doing so many in a row. This car is an '04 I think (I forgot to look, LOL). It had some chips in it that I filled using my own Infiniti paint on. There was also a lot of dents so I arranged for my PDR guy to come by..only $75 for all his work..reasonable I think. It was so bloody hot..when I pulled my car into the garage, it was 85 F inside. Time for the A/C on full, baby!! The paint had tar all over it..the clay was getting dirty at every 2nd stroke. Better on there, then my pads:thumb:. I couldn't get over at how wet the finish came out. The afters don't give it justice as they were taken right before 9pm and I was losing my light. I was very, very happy with this one too. What an awesome week..cars, cigars, tunes...the 3 main food groups!! Wow, you did an amazing job on the wheels and paint. The interior looks great too. Thanks for sharing!
Very impressive! What did the owner think? Did he know you were going to take out the dents for him???
Ketil..thanks very much! Denzil thanks very much! Sum..thanks a lot! Yes he knew, I had offered to have it done if he wanted it.
P1et..thank you sir! I concur on Infi paint. Sal..thanks a lot..it was funny b/c when he saw it the customer was kinda bummed he's got to return it at the end of the lease in 3 months...at least the dealership won't be able to charge him back for anything.
Perfect work as always! Man you do impress me everytime you put your buffer on paint. The last six details I had done got DG501/601/105. That combo delivers every single time. I have also added in doing a wipedown with DG Fast Clean and Shine in between 501 and 601 and it makes the paint just super slick.
Jason..thanks a lot, man!! It was very fulfilling seeing his and her reaction! zoom..thank you very much. JL...thanks so much and DAMN, I wish I knew that about the FC&S: I literally picked up a DG package tonight. I will pass on something I've learned recently..the longer you let each stage set up before buffing off, the better the results. Especially with the 501 and the 601. I was getting streaking with the 601 showing under the 105 in a small %'age of times and asked Jerry at DG about it. He told me to mix in a couple of capfuls of rubbing alcohol into the 601 to speed up its cure time. I tried it along with a longer dwell period and no more streaks. (You had to look very carefully to see them and they disappeared after AW or FK425 was applied, but they still bothered me). I'm glad you'r enjoying using the products. What I like about them is both the look of course but also the long, long protection you provide...nobody else around you will be for sure.
Thanks very much. Ever come to Windsor? Got a cold one (or two) in my fridge, you know! I was over in Detroit for a few hours today. Went to check out a Big lots and a harbor freight store. I bought 2 of those lug nut brushes.
