When this truck was booked in the owner mentioned that a few scratches had been inflicted by errant hockey bags etc but the truck is well looked after so I wasn't too worried. That is until I brought the halogens out after washing it. Turns out it may have received a complimentary stick wash at the dealership. Twelve hours of polishing later, I think I was right. Washed with Poorboys Super Slick'n Suds. I recommend this soap. Jambs and engine cleaned with AG Powermax2. Engine dressed with AG Vinyl & Rubber Care. Tires, wheels and inner fenders cleaned with AG Custom Wheel Cleaner. Clayed with Automagic Blue bar Polished with SIP on orange CCS and PO85rd on black CCS with Makita LSP was AG Hi Def Wax x2. Jambs and inside fuel filler door received the same. Glass cleaned with AG Glass Polish Interior wiped down with AG Interior Shampoo Leather cleaned and conditioned with Lexol Wheels were cleaned with Werkstat Prime Strong and finished with Poorboys Wheel Sealant Total Time - 21.75 hours Owner did a bang up job of washing it for me the day before. After rewashing it, even my rinse water was clean. New aftermarket exhaust is so big I can almost get my arm in there up to my elbow! Interior was quite clean. More dusty than anything. Engine all clean and dressed. Fallout on running boards Removed with Automagic Red bar A few 50/50 shots Tailgate after 1.5 hours of polishing. 7am on day 3. Just a few remaining RDS. Almost done but I wasn't happy with how the steps looked. Hmmm.... Looking underneath, simple clips hold it all together. All apart. Took about a minute and a half. Metal plates were wiped down with Poorboys and polished. After washing down the step and slats, all were sprayed with 303. All back together. That looks better. All done. Enjoy!:applause2: Yes, even the fuel filler door and around the cap were waxed. Thanks alot for looking.
Well done, those trucks are big but when they are detailed right they look incredible. Truck looks great, job well done :worship2:
The owner said he was going to take it out that night and then put it in the garage til next week as its supposed to rain this weekend. Awesome!:thumb:
Amazing work on that awesome truck!!! That is the truck I am likely getting soon as my hemi 2500 is just not cutting it anymore. Again great job on making that monster shine better than new!!!!
AMAZING!!! Absolutely stellar, she's perfect! I thought the first pictures were befores, but the difference with the afters is massive. Hockey pucks to lift the front end though?
No hockey pucks. Those are the factory mounts. If you look closely you can see the bump stops. :thumb:
+1 on all the OP. Awesome job in that amount of time especially, I'm tired just going through all of the pic's. The attention to detail on the boards is impressive.
