more torque, reliable power compared to turbo set up, but yeh torque could be solved by F/I. still its unique

I'm a fan of LSX powered vehicles .... RX7s 300ZXs 944s etc. It seems that that engine block fits every freakin' engine compartment with literally no major mods.
Me too. I haven't seen a lot of 944's with the motor, but I love LSx motors. They respond so well to power. I also like the Terminator swap into random stuff. I love engine swaps.
The LSX motor is just too god damn easy... a cams and head work and you have 500hp... I mean jesus why not do it?
not only easy hp, but it's also a reliable and serviceable engine. It might be a pushrod engine that has had the same basic design since the 60's, but it freakin' rocks :headbang:
My friend has an LX6 sitting in his garage with a t56 attached... we are waiting for the right project... thinking maybe an FD...

That's what she said...:lol2::lol2::lol2: back to the post, it's good to know that Honda does constant innovations, unlike "some" manufacturers, instead of work - playing golf...what a waste of time...
but are they using them wisely? NO...that's why I don't buy any cars from "those" manufacturers...especially after some MAJOR failures with them (two trucks in a family back the the 90's, both were rubbish as hell), I simply gave up on them...and I'm not looking back...
V8's aren't always bigger than V6's. You can play the HP per Liter game all day, but the bottom line is you need displacement. It's not a folly that people use Chevy motors for EVERYTHING in the racing circuits.
nothing wrong with a pushrod V8 and that's why most of them are at the top of the food chain really... Like look at drag racing, corvette's at Le Mans, LSR, Bonneville, a lot of big motor sports still use the pushrod motors., there extremely durable and reliable ever see a shabby with an old 283 with the odometer rolled over a couple of times.. they don't quit but its nice to see Honda finally thinking about there "performance" car's and starting to realize they need some more power. But that's me, Ive worked on and built a lot of LS and gen 1 based motor's in the past couple of years along with a few OHC motors. Matt
My opinion, as an enthusiastic S2000 owner: It's an interesting idea, and I think a lot more people would have bought S2000s had they been made with a V6. But in my opinion, it would change the character of the car for the worse. A maniacally rev-happy 4-cylinder just feels "right" in an S2000. The driving experience is alive, even frenetic, and a revvy motor fits that profile very well. It's fun. A 6 cylinder in an S2000 would make it sort of like a BMW Z4. Z4s are fine, but I bought an S2000 because I wanted an S2000. :lol: (Of course, I'm not biased or anything...)
