Recently completed job at my shop with the help once again from Daniel of Car Connoisseur, this was a job I recieved from the client of another Black Series I did a month or so ago.

Here is the vehicle coming off the transport from a Mercedes dealership in San Diego.

Daniel handling wheel cleaning duty late into the night(Matte finished wheels would later prove to be very challenging to make right).

    DI water rinse.

Daniel handling drying/decon duties while I did the hard part of snapping pics.

Taking measurements to be safe, plenty of material but the car was not marred badly(Suprised as most new cars are tore up).

    Polishing carbon splitter.

Engine bay had some hard water etch, took care of this issue quickly.

    Hand built engine.

    Attending to the fine details.

Car had some heavy dirt on lower rockers.

    Cleaned up.

    LSP application.

Daniel removing LSP wax from carbon diffuser.

Making sure the Matte wheels look new again.

The look I prefer, satin dressed tires and clean wheel face and barrel.

A few interior pics, left seat plastic on at client request.

Finished pics at dusk(Winter cold & darkness setting in).

Mean and clean. Sharp looking Merc, nice job guys.

I have been meaning to ask you about the performance of the DI water filtration system your using, for some time now. I hope it's okay.

Is it the 'CR Spotless'? Do you know how many washes(or gallons) of 0 ppm water you get from the resin before you have to change it?

I currently use an 11ltr pressure vessel with DI resin in it, but consider switching it with a system more like the one you're using, as I have to change all of the resin every time the water isn't 0 ppm any longer, to avoid water spotting. With a system with something like 2 or 3 Big-Blue housings in a row, I should be able to get more performance from the resin before having to refill all of it.

This is how the filter I'm using looks:

Great work Bob, looks fantastic. Is that still the "test" Swissvax wax you applied?

Agree. I'm not usually much on Mercs, but I'd have this in my garage any day. Nice job and attention to small details, as always, Bob and Daniel.

I do not receive Swissvax "Testwax" you must be thinking of "Jimothy" aka Lucci.

Not exactly sure how many washes I get, but I buy the bulk cannister of resin directly from CR Spotless. I also do not always wash with DI water through out, but utilize the DI for the final rinse................of course I modify this method in the heat of Summer or caught without shade on mobile(Rare)jobs.

    Excellent work!
