Porsche has unveiled the 2012 911 GT3 Cup. Essentially an evolution of the previous model, the new car adopts a 100-liter FT3 fuel tank which makes it more suitable for a wider range of endurance racing. As before, power is provided by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp). Despite having the same output of the 911 GT3 RS, it is equipped with a race exhaust and a catalytic converter. The 2012 GT3 Cup will be delivered to racing teams in September and pricing starts at €161,750 ($229,775).
