What was done: Winter Prep Pressure rinsed, washed, airdried, towel dried Wheels and tires cleaned and dressed Spot removal of factory paint defects Topped with Victoria's Red Concours Wax Glass cleaned This brand new vehicle required the removal of a few defects in the factory clear coat, a proper prep, wax, and trim dressing. Forgot to take pics of the wash, but it was rinsed down with a pressure washer, soaked with CG Citrus Wash from a Gilmour Foam Gun, then washed using 2 bucket method and an Uber W Air Drying Took out a few of the deeper scratches with an Uber Orange pad and Power Gloss on the Porter Cable. Before After After spot removing a few of the larger imperfections I went over the whole car with Power Finish on an Uber Blue Pad Car got an IPA wipe down after polishing and then was topped with Victoria's Red Concours Wax; this was my first time ever applying a wax literally by hand. Took me a while to get the hang of getting it on thin. Finally the wheels were cleaned up with Optimum No Rinse and trim was treated with 303 Protectant A few completed shots
Looks really nice. That's BLACK! I did a new CS convertible last year and was mortified by how many deep scratches were present.
Thanks for the compliments guys! Honestly I only applied it by hand because it was my first time using that wax and this was a good friend of mines car. I told him if it didn't turn out right I'd strip it off and apply Auto Glym HD, which I'm very familiar with. And so far i my experience, the clear on these new Mustangs is pretty hard. I recently did a 2011 Roush and it took a lot more aggression to get some stuff out than I though it would.
