I dont see motorcycle details too often here, so here goes. My brother in law bought this 2012 BMW S1000 RR a couple of days ago, and brought it over with less than 200 miles on the odometer for a quick clean up, just in time for bike week. This detail was very basic as the bike was literally rolled off the showroom floor and ridden over a couple of days later. But none the less it still required a little love. The bike is beautiful, kind of reminds me of the Lamborghini Aventado of motorcycles. Products used: P21S TAW Meguires Gold Class Wolfgang foam gun Daytona Mini Speed Brush EZ Detail Brush Zaino AIO Griots 3" DA Griots 3" blue pad Einszettes Cockpit Premium FK1 1000p Bike arrived near the end of the day and was fairly clean, with just a little road grime. Wheels and hard to reach areas were coated with P21S TAW and cleaned with the Mini Daytona Speed brush and EZ Detail brush. Then a nice foam bath with Gold Class. Being just a couple of days old, the bike required very little if any correction, so we decided to just highlight this beautiful blue with Zaino AIO and seal with either Z-2 or Z-5. Z-AIO with a blue pad and Griots 3" DA. I love this little machine more and more each time I use it. Perfect for jobs like these. As we were sealing the wheels with FK1 1000p, we made the decision to give the blue a deeper look, instead of the plastic Z-2 look, so we just sealed the entire bike with 1000p. By the time we reached this stage, it was dark out and mosquitos were everywhere, so my apologies for no sun pics, I only have garage pics tonight. Next time he brings it over we will work on getting that lower exhaust straightened out. Thanks for taking the time to look. Any feedback or suggestions are always appreciated. Mark
He told me that color just came out a couple months ago. Its beautiful in person. Possibly called Laguna Seca blue?... not sure.
BMW makes some of the best looking bikes out there and this one is no expection. Amazing color. Where do you get those little pads?
Wow, that bike and color combo is on point! I really need a Griots 3" now seeing all the small panels you can use it on.
Excellent job and killer bike. I had the chance to ride one, and its a beast. My GSXR 1k is fast, but the Beem has a torque curve like no other.
Thanks for all the kind words guys, very much appreciated. They came with the Griots 3" DA in a bundle from Amazon (AG). I could be mistaken, but I believe they are griots pads. The back of the Griots box had them displayed along with info on what to use them for. Came with 6 pads total.
Mmm i dont think it may be that tittle belong to the y2k and after that i would imagine a hayabusa of the the new 1800 kawis
Thats a sharp looking bike. Nice work. Those griots 3” da is perfect for motorcycles. I use it when my neighbor gives me bike parts to do every once in a while.
Very nice work on tne S1k! The new zx14r from Kawasaki I think has the throne for the most standard hp of a streetbike now. How do you like those pads?
Looks great! I have a 1969 BMW R60. The paint on it is in rough shape to the point where it needs a respray though But once again, looks awesome!
