I was contacted on here to do this 2011 WRX on Monday I removed the etched water spots on it with a combination of distilled vinegar then followed up with M205 and Green 5.5" & 4" Ubers on my Makita 9227C and PCXP. I had a issue with Opti-Coat today but was able to resolve it using my best judgment a link to that thread is below http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/optimum-polymer-technologies/29859-opti-coat-v2-issue-during-application.htm Products & Tools used: CG Glossworkz CG Maxisuds II Meguiars M205 Menzerna 85RD Opti-Coat V2 Opti-Bond Tire Gel Opti-Intant Detailer Claymagic Fine Grade Clay Mothers Showtime Detailer Zep Citrus 3:1 Distilled Vinegar #0000 steel wool Duragloss 105 Mothers Billett polish Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish Mothers Wheel & Tire cleaner 3M General Adhesive Remover 2 pairs nitrile gloves IPA 3:1 Craftsman 1000 Watt Halogen Tripod Karcher 5.85 M Pressure Washer Mecline 1000ml Foam Cannon Makita 9227C 3M Perfect it III 5" Backing plate Porter Cable 7424XP LC 5" Backing plate Uber 3" rotary and da backing plate Uber 5.5" and 4" Green pads Uber 5.5" Blue pad Pakshak Ultra Soft WW microfiber Mothers Plush Double Sided Yellow microfibers Autozone microfibers for polishing Exhaust tips DI Foam Yellow foam Applicator Mothers Sheep Skin Mitt Swissvax Detail Brush Wheel Barrel Brush Mothers Fender brush Mothers Wheel brush 2 Gritguards and buckets The outside sun shots were with no LSP after correction. Glass had Duragloss 105 not Opti-Coat V2 as you can see on the hood there was some streaking that stayed even after I leveled it so I had to go back and polish the entire ride with 85RD and and Uber Blue on the PC with light pressure to remove streaking. The detailed explanation on what had happened is at the top of the thread. I had to release the vehicle at night because the owner was moving out of town tomorrow morning. Also didnt end up using IronX due to it being delivered today, so I gave it back to the owner so he can use it later. The last 3 picture in the garage were the final results sorry for the bad quality taken with my cell phone
Thanks guys and yes your right it is time for a new camera, but the good ones are pricy and I am not big on taking pictures it really would only be used to post up photos here, I am going to look into something better though
Your welcome I am glad you liked the way it came out If your ever down here again or have any friends that still live down here that need any correction or detailing work let me know, thanks.
