I don’t usually do full write ups, but I decided to post a recent one……….
2011 Sti Limited with less than 2k on the clock……. Yes, it came from the dealer just destroyed. The owner decided he would take the thing camping and a road trip down the coast before he gave it to me. Client who works with my wife took an residency in Miami, so the car was going to be shipped the day after I was finished……This car was destroyed I am not joking there was probably 15 pounds of mud caked under the fenders, the car had ungodly amounts of marring, swirls but thankfully no major scratches. As you can see in the before it was pretty bad. I wish I had more pictures, but I was pressed for time, I had two days to do it. Personal notes, My car whooped on this all day long the day before during a run through the sierras; while I like the new STI, I would take the 2005 any day of the week with a tune.

Also, I should note, I had none of the problems I had with my 2005 when doing the correction, this was pretty straight forward, either I got better or the paint was not as soft.

Sorry, I wish I had more time to take more pics, I needed to get this done to get the car ready to ship to Miami…..
Basic interior cleaning action, it was pretty clean other than the floor mats on driver’s side. Honestly, Subaru could have done a better job with the interior, my 2005 had a nicer interior.

    Looks great!
I did a 2011 sti limited not too long ago. It sat for 8 months while the owner was in Afghanistan for contracting work. DUSTY

The paint is perfect now, like a mirror.

Yikes the dealership did a number on that car before delivery. Agreed I like the styling of your 05 way better than the new gen.

The interior for a $36,000.00 is on par with a new Chevy Cruz, the door panels are all cheap plastic, no more Alcantara. Quite a few missteps IMO, the car is fatter and heading in the direction away from what the market is.

    Thanks guys.

Yeah, I like to use a jack for several reasons, I can get to the fender better but It helps the run off to flow to the back of the wheel draining the lug holes so when you drive off there is no excess water ruining the work you just did.

Looks great Karl! I did a mineral gray 2011 WRX hatch back last year as a new car prep and to remove etched water spots. I applied Opticoat V2 to it to protect the soft clear. That paint was a pleasure to work as it wasnt too soft that it marred with microfibers, but soft enough to make the correction easy. I didnt even need to use 203S to remove the defects, M205 followed by 85RD was more than enough to get it looking great.

Awesome results Karl. I thought you got rid of your STI? Is the blue car in the pics yours?

Karl, awesome work man, especially on a car so hammered. How many passes did it take to get those kinds of results with PF and the green pad? That combo is the shiz

Yeah, that body style is a little over done, nice car none the less........ they are a Pain, it is never straight forward

yes, the blue one was mine, I did this detail in October before I sold it.

LOL, I have never understood what many of you define as a "pass" is it left or left to right? or until the polish is worked down, re evaluate then re polish if needed......

In this case, depending on how much pressure I put, and since much of it was light surface marring, and some of it was a little deeper it again was different in varying areas of the car, like the sides seemed to have it the worst, the roof was not as bad as the hood and so forth, but green Uber with PF does some amazing work, the SF was a great finishing "jeweling" product with the blue pad.....I probably could have gone around the car another time with the a black pad though..... just ran out of time.

    again guys, thanks......
