Completed recently in the shop, this beautiful Porsche Turbo is eight months old and needed some light correction along with dry trim and aftermarket wheels(Forgeline Centerlock Conversion) that are gloss black and had some marring.

    During the wash/decon steps

The top surfaces and especially the rear of the car had some contaminates as the clay I am holding shows.

The vehicle did not have severe defects(As it was new) but there were sections that did need aggressive compounding to correct those defects, like here on the right front quarter.

Utilized Megs M101 and some new pads that are in development with Meguiars(Cannot give details at this time) to level the defects.

Marring and a few RIDS on the rear wing.

Finish now level and free of marring.

Cluster of RIDS on drivers rear quarter.

Defects corrected, and the pad/buffer haze from the compounding was removed quickly on th next step (D330 cutting disc).

    Some more marring.

Removing defects on the door edge(Lift makes this task much easier as I can position the vehicle exactly where needed).

Vehicle finished down right before LSP was applied.

Applied CG "Lava Wax" as I was in LA recently and stopped by CG and Paul gave me some to try, applied to this car and my work truck and it is a great wax as it comes off very easily as advertised(Truth in advertising is rare lol)and it is in the starting line up for me as a go to LSP.

Very nicely done. Is that a vinyl wrap or a paint job on the E92 M3?

Bob, it looks like the water containment mat was also a recent CG pickup; never seen you use one so I'm curious why you are using it now.

Great work; that blue looks fantastic after you worked your magic.

Nice work on the Turbo Bob, the afters are gorgeous.

But those are probably the worst wheels I've ever seen on a Porsche.

Great work as always and I like the color, the wheels not so much.

I thought Lava Wax was supposed to be chock full of fillers and glossing agents, sort of a glaze and wax in one? Am I wrong about that?

I know the wax is sold in the "Glaze" section on the website, as for fillers if has a little or quite a bit I am not sure but the finish was finished down properly as every car I do is and this would have no effect on what this LSP could do as far as "Filling in" anything.

I don't want to give the impression that I was questioning your finishing skills. I just thought it seemed like an odd choice in light of your well known perfectionist finishing work.

Mods, just curious again as this write up only the second page can be viewed, just like the E-63 Wagen write up I put up awhile ago.................interesting as I went thru 10 other write ups in this section(Pro) and other sections and did not find this to happen to any other write up.

Why would using this Wax be a odd choice?.
