Here goes another one! I'm not quite sure how much of an intro I can do for this one, but here goes. This vehicle belongs to Phil's father and has been well* taken care of since day 1. Not too much needed to be done, but it was due for a little freshening up. I'll let the pictures roll from here on out. *Vehicle is regularly washed and maintained by Phil, however, the owner isn't necessarily as careful. Some scuffs and scratches have made appearances as you will see in the pictures. Products Used: Washing Sunlight Soap Diablo Wheel Cleaner AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner Elegance Clay Lube Riccardo blue Clay Various bushes and mitts. Correction Flex Rotary PC 7424XP Green Lake Country CCS pads Blue Lake Country flat pads Menzerna Intensive Polish Menzerna Micro Polish Protection Aquartz Titanium and Premium combo Prima Wheel Armour Optimum Opti-Bond tire dressing Here is how it arrived. Most of this was just surface dirt accumulated on the drive here. (Sorry, these ones are little blurry) Here's what the wheels looked like. And some of the scuffs I was talking about. Getting to the cleaning. We started with the wheels. AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner doing it's thing. Then we got to foaming her up with degreaser. Some nice, thick foam. Washing the badges and body work. Inside the gas door. Once cleaned, it was time for Iron-X to take the stage. It was sprayed over the entire car and left to dwell for a few minutes. And for those who don't believe in this type of product, take a look at this. All this came off the car and dripped onto the floor. Then we took the car back outside to wash it down again. Phil rinsing it off. Nice shirt Phil! Now it's time to clay it. Not so bad. This is all that the clay picked up after the trunk. Genreal condition of the paint. Light swirling. We decided on a 1 step + cleaner to give a nice refresh. Menzerna Intensive Polish (not SIP) on a green pad (white shown here, disregard that ) Phil took charge of the Flex... And I followed suit with the PC on a blue pad with Menzerna Micro Polish for clean up. Here's the 50/50 Here's a couple of after polishing shots. No protection. Here's the protection. Here are some of the final shots I was able to take after the protection in the shop/garage. The following pictures were all taken by Phil the following day since we ran out of light and time on C-Day (Correction day) EDIT - I like making videos for some of the cars I work on, so here's the one for this car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVAcltL87Ic&feature=g-upl&context=G2e5683bAUAAAAAAAAAA As usual, thanks for viewing and feel free to comment!
Great team work and photography guys! Good work on the Lexus...I did one as well today...IS for you and IS for me...=)
Thanks for the comments guys. Raven - No, we didn't do under the hood and inside the car. We team worked the outside only. The inside only needed a "quick" clean up that Phil will be taking care of and the under-side of the hood was never mentioned, so we didn't touch it for lack of time in just 1 day.
