2011 CR-V purchased by my brother for his wife on Thursday. I didn't know he was buying so soon... by the time I found out he was already signing papers and it was too late to have the dealership skip the wash process. I'll give them credit though they did a good job, wasn't swirled up much at all. Goal: Seal everything with wolfs. Looked good on arrival, just needed some proper sealant. A little bit buggy Looked like someone removed clear bra. this residue was stubborn. Tarminator couldn't touch it, barely made a difference during decon, ended up having to do a multiple passes with heavy compound and it still wouldn't clear up 100%. left me some wax behind: The reason why my brother wanted me to seal it up good...sap trees all over their townhouse parking lot. Really no way to avoid them. skipped the wheels for now since I planned on removing them to fully seal. after the wash/decon I decided to do a light polish with SF4500 to enchance the gloss...why is the driver door swirled so much when the other panels weren't so bad?! of course...like usual I detail a car with terrible repaint work. 50/50 on the terrible driver door better minus the run I love the CG super plush microfibres I got..so much nicer than what I've been using. Post polish wash with special emphasis on blasting crevices to remove any hidden polish After Body Wrap I popped the wheels off This is basically what they all looked like. cleaning inside the back of the spokes was a pain, and there were some really tough spots I couldn't remove. After the wheels I topped the body wrap with Lusso Oro since I've never used that wax before after buying it last year. Again I took a lot of glamour shots. exhaust polished and sealed of course: Thanks for viewing
Great work. I really enjoy reading your threads and how you are progressing as a detailer. Keep it up bud!
Looks really good. What light are you using for the 50/50 shots and after correction shots? That is one bright light!!
i was just using a 1000 watt husky light stand. only had one of the lamps turned on ...got 2 light stands for free when the dealership i work at full time had a spring cleaning day. only have to replace one bulb thanks a lot....that's what I'm working towards. i was told to find what you love to do.. then work until you're the best. then you get the money. got a long way to go
When did Dave start selling wheel cleaner?, thought I knew what he was up too at all times. CRV looks nice.
thanks for the compliment...yes this is not from Dave its from my friend Chris who goes by street dreams here in MD. i bought one of all his products
