Built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the M3 By Michael Gauthier June 22, 2010 10:00 am Filed Under: BMW, German, Special Editions BMW has announced the limited edition M3 Frozen Gray Coupe was sold out in 12 minutes. As you may remember, the FGC was built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the M3. It features exclusive Frozen Gray matte paint, the Competition Package (which has 19-inch alloy wheels and a lowered ride height), Electronic Damping Control, and an M Double Clutch Transmission. Other goodies include Fox Red / Black Novillo leather upholstery, "carbon leather" trim, heated front seats, a premium sound system, GPS navigation, Comfort Access (passive entry), and a one-day enrollment at the BMW Performance Driving School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Priced at $77,600, which is $19, 200 more than a standard M3 coupe, the FGC is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 with 414 hp (309 kW / 420 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. According to Larry Koch, M Brand Manager for BMW North America, "I'm personally thrilled to see that our customers are as excited about it as we are. We filled the thirty reservation slots within twelve minutes and took the names of at least fifty alternates in the first hour. The 2011 Frozen Gray M3 Coupe will be one of the most unique BMW vehicles ever imported to the US."
wow. that is slick. doesn't really stand out as a m3. Looks more like a 335i coupe but the interior is slick. They should offer a nice blue and black interior. I also didn't realize that the torque wasn't very much on the m3's. I would have thought it was more then 295 ft lbs of trq
completely agree! If i were getting this, it would be in the Alpine White color. SEX ON WHEELS :headbang:
one of my clients also grown to be a pretty good friend has many toys. One of them happens to be a Black M3 and i have yet to get my hands on it either. It needs some polishing for sure and can't wait for a test ride LoL. As you mentioned though the white is nice. I wish i could afford a M3. I'm a sedan man so the M3 Sedan would be what i opted for.
Mmmm.. So lovely, I want!! The Frozen Gray Matte paint is better looking than i thought it would but i need gloss! I guess you can have it sprayed with clear over it :thumb:
This has been available on the M5 for quite some time, and from what I have read, you cannot wax it, or polish it. Apparantly, a waiver must be signed saying that BMW will not be responsible if anything goes wrong with the paint. Sounds like a royal pain in the arse to me!!! It's like the ANTI DB car!!!
i heard collonite 476 can be used as well. seen SL500 night edition at my friends house and he said dealer told him to wash it with soap and water and thats all. i would say its not completely flat black but looks like it has metail flake to it. i dont like it couse it looks unfinished
This is probably the easiest paint to take care. Just Optimum Car Wax after every wash and you're done.
