Recent job completed in the shop, the vehicle had low miles (Just over 3K) but the finish was in awful condition due to repeated automated washes.

    Before wash/decon steps.

    LSP stripped off.

Entire "A" pillar corrected with compounding step and medium polishing, not fine polished yet.

    Wing was badly marred.

    More defects.

    After.

GTR's do not like rotary correction, so had to go slower in the initial compounding steps.

The wheels were also victims of the "Tunnelwash" deep marring on all the spokes.

    Marring removed.

    Dirty exhaust tips.

    "Cleaness'.

Engine was not bad, so light wipedown and dressing to complete the look.

Even the license plate frame was marred and had water spots.

    Finish on the frame corrected.

    Nearing completion.

thats not going to happen, its only a small Nissan performance shop somewhere in the UK thats doing this project.
Im fairly certain it will end up like the W12 Golf R.... everyone begs for VW/Audi to produce it, but no one is willing to give up the cash for one

I really enjoy reading your write-ups and seeing a little behind the scenes.
The car looks beautiful in the finished state, with the license plate trim ring being the icing on the cake.

Nice work bob, did you find the avg paint reading all around 140. I here ya on the rotary less approach. I always laugh everytime I see the hard clear coat sticker on the underside of the hood.

I almost took a pic of that label "Only approved refinishing materials are to be used" or something like this in addition to the "Hard clear" statement......lol, easily the most finicky finish to work on as the Black ones are the worst and I have done three Black ones and they all sucked.

Ya, I've done 3 black ones as well, and they are a major pain. I would definately do a full clear wrap on these cars if I owned one.

Very nice Bob! You mentioned the 3D Nitro Seal...and having opened it a few days before. Do you have to use it all within a certain timeframe of opening it?
