So much for me having some normal 105! Should work fine with me buying a purple foamed wool pad though...

Maybe, that's what Meguairs just did on new-105, added a touch of oil to orginal M105.
Would try new-105 but still have more than 24oz of the old stuff that works well so maybe later.

I know that the new consumer line products will not interest most folks on this forum, but for newbs like myself who are just learning to us a D/A polisher (I have the Megs G110), the new SwirlX-ScratchX-Ultimate Compound line is of real interest. Mike Phillips has observed that UC, e.g., generally does not produce the micro-marring that is sometimes produced by a D/A with the M80/M83 combo. It may well be that these products will be the perfect polishes to first start using when starting off with a D/A polisher. And being in the consumer line, they should be readily available at local auto stores.

For the little bit I've used Ultimate Compound, I'm liking it better than M105. I've used it by hand and with the G110.

I typical go for the professional line but being able to pick it up at most auto parts stores will be a big plus.

I am glad to see you will be able to get the "white" clay with out the kit. I actually do like it, even though I don't use it everytime I clay a car.
