    Hello all!

Finally got my hands on the Jag!

After talking with the client and inspecting the paint the best I could on site, we decided on a budget and concluded that this is what the best course of action was a wash/clay/lsp combined with a 1 step polish to remove moderate to minor defects (swirls, scratches, marring).

    Products Used:
    Cobra Chenelle MF wash mitt
    Grit Guards
    Meguiar's Wheel Brightener
Chemical Guys Maxisuds 2 (foam lance)
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Clear (By hand)
Ultima Waterless Wash+Concentrate (drying aid/clay lube)
Sonus Fine grade claybar (seemed firm for fine grade)
    Isopropal Alcohol (IPA)
Chemical Guys V36 Optical Grade Cutting Polish (used with orange BnS pad)
Menzerna SF4500 (PO85RD) (for some plastics)
    Chemical Guys Glassworkz
    Lexol-pH Leather Cleaner
    Lexol Leather Conditioner
    Chemical Guys Innerclean
    Chemical Guys Allclean
    Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection
    Chemical Guys Barebones
Ultima Tire and Trim Gaurd+ (on trim)
Chemical Guys Newlook Trim and tire gel (tires)

    Equipment used:
    Karcher Pressure washer
    Mecline Professional Foam Lance
    RaceGlaze Xtra long wheel brush
    Lug nut brush
    Griots Garage dual action polisher
    Buff n' Shine 5.5" foam cutting/polishing pads
    Autoality "Ultra Soft Microfiber"
Uber all purpose black Microfibers (love them)

Here are the pre-wash pictures. Other than the wheels, the car wasnt very dirty at all. Infact, the tires still had dressing on them. The interior wasnt super bad either, it just needed a touch up.

Here is the beading action after a rinse. There is SOME protection there, the beading is poor and sheeting mediocre.

Beading after two bucket wash with CG Citrus wash clear @ 2oz/gallon (which is the recommended paint cleansing dilution) This soap is VERY good at stripping protection.

Here are some post wash pictures, the paint on this car isnt bad, but the metallic paint and color make it hard to see defects that are surely there.

Onto the paint decontamination process. Using fine grade clay and UWW+ as a lube, I went to town. The hood and front fenders were trashed with contaminants. Leads me to think that this car was parked underneath a tree or something for most of its life. It almost felt like overspray though. Here's a little peak, the bottom of the car and fenders were the worst, this picture was taken just after starting.

    Polishing
I was advised that Jaguar paint is very hard, and it was- VERY hard. The defects werent the worst, but they were hard to polish out because the paint was so hard. I chose CG V36 combined with an Orange BnS pad. Most of the time i had the polisher wide open. I found that firm pressure and very slow arm speed was the key on this paint. In this case, it was better to make fewer very slow section passes, rather than alot of passes.

Unfortunately i dont have any really awesome 50/50 shots because it was very hard to capture the defects in a picture. But i did shoot a short video, youll have to look hard right where the light is, but youll see the difference. I had to really work my inspection light to see these defects, i found that moving the light further away from the paint helped alot. Even tho the defects were hard to see under inspection, they popped out pretty bad in the sun- which we fixed :).

Heres the video, the defects in the part of the car were mild. Behind the rear wheels, and all horizontal surfaces were much worse. Again, hard to capture on camera, but i got some awesome post polish sun shots. Make sure you watch in HD, or it will be really hard to see the defects.

Here is a shot of the pillars/trim in between the front and rear doors. The black plastic is very scratched up. I found that Menzerna Sf4500 and a black BnS pad produced stunning results in one step.

    Interior

Interior wasnt horrible. But did need a once over. It got vacuumed, leather cleaned and conditioned, plastics treated, windows cleaned and carpets brushed (A little move I stole from Larry at Ammonyc, thanks Larry!)

    Now, the good stuff:
The chosen paint protection here was Four star Ultimate paint protection, ive been itching to use this stuff and im glad to have a car of this caliber to try it on. Conclusions are this- FSUPP is amazing. SUPER slick, removes effortlessly, and looks amazing for a sealant.

This is one of my favorite pics, you can really see how FSUPP makes the paint look so good. Obviously the polishing is a huge part, but you can tell the paint was more depth to it, almost like a wax.

Again, sorry there were no crazy before and after shots, this paint was VERY hard to capture on camera because of the metal flake and color. I did get 85-90% Correction in just one step which i was pretty proud of and there was a large difference in overall clarity and gloss in the paint.

Thanks for reading everyone, I know it was long, so was the detail :)

Let me know what you think!!

FSUPP is awesome. I hand applied FSUPP via foam app. on a headlight i polished yesterday and the thinner viscosity makes it a DREAM to apply by hand man, even easier by DA.

PM me on here or MM, we can swap an ounce of something if you want....maybe i can test your latest contraption for you.

Customers dig it man. Doesnt just look clean, looks detailed, lol. This Client was very particular about her interior, so i tried to go the extra step.
