Car was taken to a "well known" corvette shop up in OKC to have some the car fully wet sanded to remove orange peel. I got the call to come and detail the car after it got back. Honestly, I was expecting to have to spend maybe 2 days on the car, do some minor polishing and full interior work. The car only has 1400 miles on it, but when I pulled the car out in the sun... looks like it had 140,000 miles on it. I can not even begin to express my disgust with this business and how they could let a car like this, walk out of their facility in the condition it was it. All in all, I spent 3 days and close to 35 hours bringing this car back to life! There were buffer trails, severe scratches and sanding scratches all over the entire car. Along with that, they burnt some of the edges when they attempted to buff it out, left gouges in the rear bumper lip above the license plate and a few other thing. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Before the first wash: Look at the lovely buffer trails!: Back in the garage after thorough wash/decontamination: Next picture shows sanding scratches: Removed: Look at all the lovely defects they left behind: All better! Even more sanding scratches: View of the passenger door: Totally uncalled for: The rear bumper I spend about 2 hours on alone compounding out all the scratches and whatever else was there, also the emblem had to be removed: After the compounding phase: Finally the fruits of my labor: Some beauty shots:
