Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working on this 2009 BMW E90 M3. Beautiful car and color.
The customer had purchased the vehicle from Texas and there were a few concerns he wanted taken care of. His main concern was some rock chips and the exterior. We agreed upon a 1 step polish and rock chip repair.

    Products used:

    Duragloss 901
    D300 via Megs MF system
    Dr. Colorchip system

    Tarminator
    Iron-x

During my inspection of the vehicle I had noticed several holograms throughout the vehicle.

Tires and wheels were washed first. Wheels were rinsed then sprayed with Iron-x and left to dwell a few minutes before agitating with various wheels brushes. Tires and wheels wells were then sprayed with degreaser and agitated. Then all was rinsed well.

Car was washed via two bucket method using a chenille wash mitt and Duragloss 901.

Once the car was washed it was clayed with Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and any tar was removed with tarminator.

After trying out a few different combos for the 1 step (optimum polyseal & Orange LC pad, Menzerna power finish &orange lc pad, D300 & white LC pad), I finally decided upon D300 on the Megs cutting disk. I didn't expect this to finish out as well as it did on the BMW paint.

I was having trouble capturing the swirls on the car and the sun kept playing hide and go seek. So, apologize for not having any 50/50's.

Did get this to come out good though.

After the car was polished , I used eraser to remove any left over oils from the paint before applying BFWD via PC and Blue LC pad.

    Trim was dressed with UTTG

Tires got a coat of BF Total Eclipse Tire Gel, and wheels were spray waxed with Optimum.

    And the afters

    Looks great!
At what point did you use the Dr. Color Chip system? After polish? More on the touch up process please.

Yes, the dr colorchip was used after I polished the car out. I did the touch ups then went around and finished all my final details prior to waxing to give the paint some extra time to dry.
