We live 300 miles away from each other for right now and she came down for the weekend with her new car...with that said this was only a wash and wax, no correction because i didnt wanna spend TOO much time in the garage haha...all in all about 3 1/2 hours....this was a good chance for me to try out some new things i have received in trades and bought...on to the process and pictures... Wash with Citrus Wash Clear and CG Strong Wash P21S TAW Presoak Proline Grout Sponge Riccardo Clay (Thanks zspectrum!) I like those better than the Solstice. They are cool cars though. How did you like the grout sponge?? Love the yellow!! Looks great man!!!!!!!
i like those better than the Solstice as well. Oh, wait a minute. You meant the Sky, not her. Cool looking car-love the yellow.
lol :shakehead: I've seen a few of these vehicles, sharp looking vehicles, I like there curves :thumb: Vehicle looks great, thank you for sharing eace:
Nice work there Jordan! How do you like that TAW? What about those wheels? I'm not really feelin' the chrome wheels. :hmph: Cute girlfriend you have there but she smokes! :thud: Please tell me you're trying to get her to quit. :
lol i am gentlemen it will only be a matter of time before i break her...some things u just deal with but this is a big one!
This was really strange paint to be honest with you...it seemed kinda flat to me :shead: maybe its just the yellow, or the fact that she doesnt take care of it...the car had only pretty light swirls so they werent taking away from the finish TOO much but im sure it would have benefited a ton from a 2 or 3 step polishing...but most of all i am pretty disappointed in 1Z Glans wax...the DG 105 added a little wetness, about what i expected it to, and thought the 1z might bring out a little more depth and warmth, so my surprise it really added nothing much at all, but if it is durable, it may be a tradeoff...and only time will tell!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the 1Z. I think I'd still be interested in comparing how it does to its competitors.
Well Denzil, i could send you some when the time comes you want to try it...but like i said the paint was weird anyhow in my opinion, i need to try it on a darker color before i set my assumptions in stone...and i really loved the grout sponge..i was a bit nervous at first but i figured it was ok based on the recommendations everyone gave in my other thread....i will be using this for now..and give the wool wash pads a permanent vacation! I have noticed marring and i am pissed! A polish of my f150 will soon follow this detail!
Heh, thanks for the offer Jordan. We could work a trade out or something. You're too kind dude!... not that it's a bad thing though.
