    Hello again, the weather was finally nice enough today for me to detail this particular car.

    2008 Jetta TDI in for Exterior Protection package (Wash, Clay, Wax) + Engine Bay detailing

    The car is around 5 months old and has 20,000km on it. It is parked outside overnight exposed to the elements.

    Wash & Dry:
    Chemical Guys - Citrus Wash and Clear
    Proline Grout Sponge
    Raceglaze detail brush
    Two buckets with grit guard
    Leaf blower
    Vroom drying towel
    Zep Citrus degreaser 4:1 - on all trim, door jams and exhaust tips
    Costco Microfiber towel on door jambs

    Clay:
    ONR clay lube
    Meguiars clay bar
    Isopropyl alcohol afterwards

    Exhaust:
    P21S polishing soap
    Zep Citrus Degreaser

    Wheels, tires:
    Zep Citrus Degreaser - tires, wheels and wheel wells
    Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover
    Raceglaze wheel brush
    Raceglaze xl wheel brush
    Leaf blower
    Armor All Extreme tire shine gel two applications

    Engine bay:
    Zep Citrus Degreaser 4:1
    303 Aerospace Protectant
    Autogym Intensive Tar Remover
    Costco Microfiber towel


    Sealant and wax:
    Collinite 845 two coats
    303 Aerospace Protectant on Exterior trim
    Chemical Guys Super Towel
    Meguiars Applicator

    Glass:
    Zep Glass Cleaner 32:1
    Waffle Weave Glass Towel

    Well Well Well, best I could do with a garden hose and brush, need to get a PW.

    Couldn't get this paint off, tried everything =( Also the textured plastic is a pain to work on, it almost destroyed my sponge like a cheese grater :mad:

    Lets get claying, I was expecting some heavy contaminents from a 5 month old car that's parked outside

    Wax of choice today, and every other day:

    It got dark after my second layer of wax

    Unfortunately the owner was in a bit of a rush so I couldn't grab pictures of the engine bay after I finished, also I kind of forgot to take pictures nearing the end since I was in the zone.

    looks good. i assume that paint was in pretty good shape couse reflections are nice.

    Nice work! So what was there on lower panels? Paint? Tar? Did you get rid of it?

    I believe it's some sort of latex paint. I really am stumped by it, I did tell the customer about the issue and he was very nice about it.
