few people have asked to see this so here goes. we got to the plane about 8.30am, it had been finished its build the day before so it was brand new. unfortunately we were quite busy with the job so not many before pics, anyway we cleaned all the plane down with meguiars last touch detailer and mega plush towels to lift any fine grime and was left with this. straight on to the wax, after consulting dom at dodo juice the wax of choice was there own supernatural which has a high quantity of canaba wax. all plane applied by hand and heres me getting stuck in. we gave 2 coats to whole of plane then extra coats to all areas on wings, propellers, tail etc that would be getting beat by the elemants. and heres my partner in grime del.........sitting down on the job as per lol. the finish was awesome and considering it was both our first plane detail we did good. wheel section. underside reflections. another underside. rear fin. and the nose cone which i love the gloss in this pick. me on the left and del very proud team. and heres the right up which was meant to go in waxit magazine: (company name removed by Nica) get most of their business by referral from delighted customers, but even they were slightly taken aback by their latest commission; A plane! Their keen attention to detail and quest for perfection impressed one new road-car client so much, he immediately asked them to turn their attentions to his other mode of transport, his 2008 CZAW Sport Cruiser light aircraft. After talking to the manufacturers to discuss the best methods of surface care,we had spent a rewarding day at the clients hangar, restoring the plane to an as new condition. After claying the surface, several levels of detailing, polishing and waxing were employed to ensure that not only was the end result pretty spectacular, but also retains a degree of protection for the aircrafts forthcoming winter flights. thanks for looking.
promotions guy is a bit trigger happy it was just blurb, the plane was almost near perfect, there was a mark on one wing edge and a couple on the propellers that needed a quick bit of 3m finnesse it by hand. no rotary neccessary on this one.
the owner was really happy with it, it was something a bit different for us to get our hands on and certainly an experience. the finish was undeniably glossy.:thumb:
Wow, would be cool to see the beading and sheeting action while flying in the rain. thnx for sharing.
