A customer sought me out from Fresno(About 180 miles away from me in the Bay Area) after Angelo from TID/PAC and Phil @ DD told him about my service so a thank you to both of you gentlemen.

A particular client who wanted his already very nice car to be refined to a higher level, he wanted the clearfilm removed safely and the car to have the light marring corrected in a few spots so basically make the car look as if it had just rolled off the line @ Genral Motors in Bowling Green.

    Removing the film.

After a thorough wash/Decon I set about to remove some dried up wax left behind on the trim.

Another issue was the drivers door jamb/threshold it was damaged during service and had to be re-sprayed, but the shop left sand scratches and compound everywhere along with overspray on the exterior side of the door.

Overspray just under the crease of the "B" pillar hoop.

    Overspray removed.

The finish overall was in pretty good shape except for clusters of marring, however the tailights were marred badly.

Removed the lights and corrected as needed.

    Corrected.

    Marring on drivers rear quarter.

    Corrected during compound stage.

Light marring you will get near the door handle by opening the door.

    Corrected.

Light marring in the same area.

    Corrected.

    All done with "Certified tightness".

Thanks Kilo 6, btw tried the "Pro" C30 waterspot remover on the Ferrari I just did and it worked better that the Mark V.......although the rep for PRO said not to use it on paint just glass and metal?? it worked well on the non cleared matte paint on the underside of the trunk lid of the Ferrai though. I will do a test spot on the next spotted up car I get.

The tightness level is insane with that Vette. That has to be better then off the line.

I've only used it on painted wheels and chrome, body panels etc....... I would not use it on "raw" or "anodized" wheels or trim. As for glass, ive used it without issues, but I make sure im working small areas and keep the glass "wet". I have the Mark V too, i just feel its not as aggressive.

There is another product I use sometimes too on glass, Ill have to see if I still have it.

Very nice work Bob came out looking great!

Kilo and Bob so you have used Pro C-30 on body panels? Kilo have you used it on your WRX paint? I have a 2011 WRX that I have coming into remove hard water spots on tomorrow, then to seal with Opti-Coat V2. I know this would be too late to get in, but I am interested in it for future reference and to have for my own personal vehicles. Have you ever had and chemical etching on the paint using it? I am guessing you use it sort of like a quick detailer apply to one panel wipe with one microfiber then remove with another or do you let it dwell on the panel then wipe and remove the rest with another microfiber? After I am guessing you would re wash the vehicle or will an IPA wipe down suffice, then seal/wax again?

    Danny, PM sent.

Ive never had any etching on painted panels, only on some glass when it sat too long. its all covered in my PM.

on the new car you are getting, try some white vinegar.

Thanks Pat... the car was very nice to begin with so it was not a grinding correction, but I did refine it quite a bit.

Outstanding as always, Dr Bob! Interesting color - I don't see many Vettes in that color.
