    2008 BMW 335i
    Goal: Prep for sale
    Labor Time: 5.5hrs

Owner wanted to get the car looking good for sale. Owner didn't opt to have the car fully corrected, but I thought the swirls and buffer trails were pretty bad- so I suggested glaze. I was very surprised on how well it did.

This time I didn't take as many pics as I normally do, by now pretty much everyone knows my process exactly lol. Check it out:

    Grime Reaper 3:1 on wheels
    [IMG]

APC 4:1 on tyres and arches
    [IMG]

EZ Detail brush. I can't stand this thing, I really want the RG XL brush :(
    [IMG]

SV Wheel Brush, I love this thing- it's so sturdy.

I noticed that the break dust wasn't coming off. 3:1 GR didn't do the trick. I had no intention that it would be that hard. So quickly went back to my dorm to get my Grime Reaper jug.

    CG Grime Reaper straight

Since the brakes were pretty big I did half of the wheel at a time. I marked the side that I didn't do then moved the car so it was on the other side

Car turned out great, nice work. My Daytona Speed Master just broke last weekend, gonna try and make a new handle for it, still going to order the RG brush though.

If you didnt know how to get that off the wheel you should have tried claying that part to see if it would have helped it. In my experience clay works, but its quite the expensive solution.

    Btw nice work!

I never though of using EZ Creme Glaze with a green Uber pad, hmm... I am amazed how big of a difference that made. Do you think it was the pad or the Creme Glaze?

good job. so the ez creme darkened the paint and hid some of the swirls? i always wear dark clothing if i'm going to use the ez detail brush.

EZ creme at as lubricant for pad to do some physical polishing. Very nice job.

Also spots on wheel could be lay off, sonax wouldnt do help if GR straighnt didnt do anything.

Great work, alot of results for 5 minutes

The Daytona is just liek the EZ Brush I'm pretty sure. But this brush bends waaaay to easily AND the handle broke. Just sucks.

I did try claying. Didn't work really. I used a bug sponge, which was a little more abrasive but nothing to harm the wheels.

I think it was more on the side of the pad. With it being slightly aggressive, that's probably what did it. I have some blue LC pads that I used EZ with and that did alright. So I opted for the greens. I use them for eeeeverything. But EZ is a pretty good glaze, haven't used it but once. So I think EZ+Green Uber is a good combo.

Right! The glaze filled in light swirls and added gloss to the paint. You could say added depth too (not darkened lol). I'd recommend it though!

I agree, I was surprised at what it did. Thank you!

    Thanks a lot man

Thank you thank you. I wish I could glaze every car!
If you look at the Porsche thread I compared Sonax to straight GR. I concluded that Sonax worked better so I'll just buy that cause it's cool stuff, but also expensvie.

Hey man, great write-up! Awesome work.

If I may say, I've found that Grime Reaper isn't very effective on brake dust and EZ Detail brush doesn't have much scrubbing power. Maybe next time try the Raceglaze XL Brush and a dedicated wheel cleaner.

Every try Grime reaper with a foaming sprayer?
I tried with an adjustable sprayer on wheels and its not my favorite.

GR doesn't stick well and i know people have much better success with APC when they get an adjustable sprayer

That's exactly what I said in the write up...

What you mean foaming? The Kwazar bottle shoots a nice mist that covers a wide area. I however didn't try APC. I used it on the wheels and wheel wells. Besides, I don't have enough APC to spray straight. I put in a huge order on CG so I have about 6 gallon jugs. I would order the huge Sonax jug but it's out of stuck everywhere!

+1. Great combo. I use green pads for everything.

Great job the car looks great. Oh and another trick when you have to move the car don't worry about using tape to mark the wheel just use the tire valve stem as your point of reference. I always use the driver's front tire valve stem for my reference point when I have to move the car. Oh and if you get the Raceglaze XL brush you won't have to worry about moving it except when you apply the second coat of dressing.

Oh well, tape or valve stem works.
I would love the wheel brush but as I said, it's only available at very few dealers and I don't need other stuff from them, so it would be pointless to spend alot of $ for 1 brush and shipping.

My first order from Ken was ONLY two Raceglaze XL Wheel Brushes. But EZ Detail is the bees knees for maintained wheels and/or coupled with a nice wheel cleaner.

My first order from Ken was 1 RG XL Wheel Brush and a 28mm RG Brush. Bestest order I made! Lol

Damn I just loved those labels on the box! I need to ask about those for my bottles next time.
