This car belonged to the wife of my previous customer. He wanted the same type of service offered. The car was hammered! After test spots with M105 being hit a few times, the rids were just too deep to be safe. The rear bumper also had way too many dings, and rough exposed areas that my pad would tear over them. Deep scuff on the passenger side that is a large line and through the paint into exposed metal worries me about rust. So background info on the paint hardness- this thing is rock hard! M105 finished LSP ready with an orange pad (best balance of defect removal vs. gloss in this case). Jeez! You weren't kidding about hammered. At first I thought I was looking at a beat b5 A4. This car was manufactured only about 3 and a half years ago and it wound up looking like that! Great turn around! How did you pull that off with a finishing polish? How much pressure was used?
wow you finished down that 105 really well. nice job on fixing that thing. those wheels prob took an hour and a half alone.
M105 is actually a compound, which surprised me on my test spot. Very slow passes with moderate/heavy pressure (make a mark on your backing plate, and as a guide put enough pressure that you see the mark make a rotation every second or so).
Would love to have seen some pictures of Sonax destroying the break dust on those wheels. Glad to see that Zep came through for you though! Great afters! Hopefully you can keep it looking that nice.
Nice job. That paint looks nasty. I did not see any differance on the 50/50 shot (i think because how the lights were positioned) but the after shots are pretty remarkable
Wish I had some Sonax, and hopefully the customer lets me maintain it in the future. Yes, when getting this I recalled that thread in mind. You guys pulled some crazy work into it.
