Well, this weekend I was in my hometown of El Paso, TX to hang out with my Dad for Fathers day weekend, and attend an open track event with my brother. The day before I left from Colorado Springs I got my Swissvax Concorso and Cleaner Fluid from D&D Auto Detail, So why not get my dad the best gift a black vehicle owner could ever ask for a freed detail. Products were menzerna 106ff (nano) (mine) LC pad (white) (mine) Swissvax Cleaner Fluid (mine) Swissvax Concorso (mine) RainX window cleaner RainX Car soap Meguiars NXT Tire shine PC7424 (mine) The goal was to remove the water spots and get the truck 90% corrected so he can sell it to buy himself a 996 turbo Porsche. After the detail he was soo impressed that now he is rethinking that plan (he needs to make up his mind lol) on to the pictures Not bad from far away some swirls mostly waterspots, some swirls and some RDS that I could have removed with SIP and Orange, but this was a one step The truck has been taken good care of the waterspots come from the cities incredibly terrible mineral deposits in the water. So i used an LC white pad with my pc7424 and some menzerna 106FF nano polish and went to town on the truck, here is the after sorry no more afters of the polish it was hot and couldnt find my dual xenon brinkman! The next day I applied the cleaner fluid with a microfiber applicator, and applied the concorso by hand to the truck waited 15 min buffed off and pulled the truck into the light to get any spots I missed... Here are the sunlight pictures (mind the hazing its before i buffed off the concorso completely) Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with Concorso, I cant wait to try it on my vette (as soon as the dodo juice is off the car) This last shot is of my dad wiping off the dust from the windows in preparation for a little photoshoot I did for him He was super thrilled with the detail and couldnt stop commenting on how awesome the truck looked. I was just glad he enjoyed the way it came out!
The truck does get driven, It has about 50k miles on it right now. My dad takes it to one of those hand wash only carwashes, so its not subject to the stuff in the drive through machines, but apparently these guys have a decent system since the swirling was minimal just terry towel marks really, and the waterspots from being washed in the hot sun. He was thrilled, he was telling me how he fell in love all over with the truck (the interior pieces where painted too, and I applied some prima banana gloss to the inside painted pieces and the door jams too. I figured its the least I could do for him since he did spend a crap load of money providing me with an education and college, and a good life!
