This truck belongs to one of my monthly maintenance customers. I finally convinced him to let me do my "magic" to it. After two and a half days it was done. Engine: Pre-rinsed and the soaked with a mixture of PM3 and TC citrus wash... agitated with various brushes. Dried with air compressor then dressed with a base coat of RL engine dressing and then TC tire dressing. Wheels/Tires/Wells: Everything pre-rinsed, tires and wells got TC Mighty Red apc and wheels got pacific products wheel brightener... all agitated with various brushes. Wells dressed with Meg's HD, tires dressed with TC tire dressing. Wheels polished with Deep Finish Chrome polish, then a coat of 4* Spray Wax Wash/clay process: Pre-rinsed. Front end and all lower panels got Awesome APC cut 1:1 as well as the windshield. Then foamed up with a mix of PM 3 and TC citrus wash. After dwelling for a few minutes, washed. Then rinsed. Pulled into garage and proceeded to clay with yellow stuff and TC QD as lube. Dried with TC waffle weave towels and used air compressor to blow out excess water. Paint Correction: I already knew I was only going to do a 1-step polish and already knew it would be Powerfinish and Green uber pads and flex ro. For tighter areas, it was makita, and 3" white pad. I got about 85% through out the entire vehicle. I also used a whole LOT of tape... I think there's more plastic trim then actual paint! After polishing each section, I did and IPA wipe down... some spots I hit twice just to get a little better shine. After the whole truck was polished I did another IPA wipe down on the paint and also all the trim in prep for dressing. LSP: Well I was going to use Jetseal, but my supplier is Dallas had it, so I traded Ken for a bottle of 4* UPP, but he didn't get to ship it out till the saturday before and there's no way it was going to be here in time. But thank God I did a trade with Supercharged for the 4* Spray wax and he threw in a 4oz bottle of the 4* UPP-P:applause2: So I applied that via flex and red lsp pad from Rubbish Boys! Let it set on paint for 2 hrs or so and buffed off. And I tell you what the next day I went back the level of gloss was intensified 10x what it was the day before. Even the customer noticed a huge difference. And for kicks, I followed up with the 4* spray wax. Others: Trim dressed with either stoners trim shine, or meg's plastic trim dressing. All chrome polished with Deep Finish Chrome polish. Windows got SIG. When I took it outside I used CG Speed Shine to buff off any smudges. Oh yeah, door jams cleaned with DG AW. Used tons of blue TC plush mf's A little 50/50 This is the massive amount of tape I used!! Afters! The sun was creeping behind the clouds, so it was hard to get decent sun shots.
Thanks Ken. Yeah, I wanted to make sure I didn't ruin any of the plastic trim on this beast!! Thanks Piet... the H2 has its good and bad points. I'm just glad I got the detail! Thanks Dana, appreciate you taking the time to check it out Honestly they're not that expensive and definitely delivered amazing results... its good when even the customer can tell. Yeah, photobucket. That's all I have to say about that. About 20hrs total over 3 days. Thanks bro Thanks heath
