Well it’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted a write up and nothing better then to get me back in it then a nice, big SUV. The vehicle: 2007 GMC Yukon Here is the vehicle as it was delivered to me: As you can see the interior was going to need some serious attention, the vehicle was scheduled to receive a full interior and a minor paint correction. Well I decided to start off with the interior, removed all personal belonging, floor mats and got started with a thorough vacuum: The leather seats also were in need of a vacuum: (Sorry for the blurry picture) Wile I pressed on in the interior I got the steamer ready and warming up: The third row seats were removed to gain access to these areas that were in need of a good clean up, before: After: Before: After: Before: After: These areas were given a simple wipe, no need of the steamer just yet. After several minutes the steamer was ready to go and let the steaming begin, first all vents received a nice steam bath: All vinyl and plastic trims were also steamed, same went for the leather: As I made my way through the vehicle I looked up and look what greeted me :thumb: Just a little dirty, never fear steamer’s here!! :giggle: seriously though headliner was also steamed and all lovely stains were completely removed :thumb: All interior was dressed with Optimum Vinyl, leather received a coat of Lexol Leather Conditioner, glass received some Stoners Invisible Glass, floor mats were also steamed…well that about does it for the interior, boy it sounds like it didn’t take too long doesn’t it. In reality I spent over 6hrs just in the interior and I actually kept track this time, go figure huh. Well before calling it a day I decided to wash the rest of the vehicle, first started off with the engine bay, here is what the engine bay looked like: Well nothing that P21S Total Auto Wash can’t handle and lots of it actually: Engine bay was scrubbed with various brushes then rinsed and on the shoes of the vehicle. It was getting a bit late so pictures stopped here, shockingly I had a limited amount of time to complete this vehicle, I know, I know, not like me to rush through a detail let alone not take 100’s of pictures but seeing as this was a large SUV I didn’t take many pictures, simply due to lack of time. Any who the rims, tires and wheel wells were done with P21S Total Auto Wash, Red P21S Gel and ARO with various brushes. The rest of the vehicle was washed with the two bucket method and a strong mixture of P21S Total Auto Wash was used as this vehicle had some serious contamination. Any who once I had washed the vehicle I clayed it with Red Clay Magic, vehicle was covered in various surface rust spots, it took me a total of 4hrs to wash and clay the vehicle….lots of real estate on this beast. Well once I was done vehicle was dried and finally I can call it a day. The next day it was polishing time, this was only a very minor paint correction so I decided to go with Menzerna Intensive Polish and several Black 3M UK Polishing foam pads, regrettably no pictures during the polishing process, just didn’t have any time :sorry: At the end the vehicle received a coat of DG#601 followed up with 105, same goes for the rims, well here are the end results: Oh engine bay was dressed with 303 Well that concludes this detail, like I said not my usual write up but I was short on time and this bad boy took me a grand total of 20hrs to complete in two days, boy that has to be a personal record for me, normally I spread such details over three days  Well customer was pleased with the end results and that’s I was a bit tired at the end, but that’s okay I enjoyed my self and had a good time in my garage yet again
They are definitely marathoner cars even with a 1 step. Interior and the whole vehicle looks awesome. Good stuff Carlos
Nice work Carlos, that engine bay looked horrible but you got it back in tip top shape. Came out looking pretty good, oh how I have missed your steamer write-ups haha.:giggle:
Nice job Carlos! Everytime i read your post, i enjoy a lot the time you spent with your steamer, i want one so badly!
You get some problem children and they are sometimes morbidly obese children! Very nice work, interior work is so important and you always do it right!
Thank for the feed back, very much appreciated eace: These vehicles are large, larger then I expected to be honest but no complaints here, just another vehicle for me to enjoy my self with :thumb: Glad you guys enjoyed it, even though I wasn't able to get as many pictures as I normally do
Very nice job, Nica. I don't understand how people wash, polish, clay, and wax the roof of an SUV!!! Do you wash the vehicles inside your garage???
I normally get up on a short stool, or a small step ladder when I do my parents Pathfinder. Still a bit of a paint for a shorter person but it still works.
Looks good Carlos, man I love it when you use the steamer man it makes me want to get one real bad. You do the best interior details i have seen man, I always enjoy reading your write ups.
Thank you guys for the kind words, very much appreciated. I always get a kick when I use my steamer :woo:
:woo: <- Why would I not be surprised if you actually look like that after using the steamer, haha. :giggle:
lol...shhhhhh...that's supposed to be a secret...boy if you guys could see me detail you'd think I was a little :crasy:
Steamer is loads of fun, always have a good time with it. Thank you guys for the feed back, very much appreciated eace:
