So with the wonderful weather we had in Colorado this week I decided why not give my F150 work truck its spring cleaning.

Before: After about 1 month of not washing it:

Not that bad ( i mean its white lol it hides everything, well except the engine)
I took out the headlights to sand them to get rid of the sand damage. The tail lights have something else planned

    Wash:
Started with the wheels and tires and undercarraige:
    megs wheel brightener 4:1
Megs APC 4:1 on tires and plastic wheel well liners and on the rims to nuetralize the WB
    Body:
meguiars gold class and chenille wash mitt

Body got a much needed claying with meguiars white consumer clay and final inspection as lube...tons of rust blooming everywhere

I didnt take any pictures of the before and after on the polishing because it was hard to catch the defect and i mostly polished the truck to amp up the gloss:
rotary with green uber pad and menzerna p203s (power finish) one pass per panel using the zenith method.
pc7424 with black pad and duragloss 501 to clean up the polishing oils and add more gloss
pc7424 with blue pad and blackfire wet diamond as LSP x1

Looks great right? I couldnt tell lol.
trim, tires, engine and undercarraige got meguiars hyper dressing at 3:1 and all chrome got a coat of dg 501

So today (24 hours later) I did a quick wipe down with dg 951 (aquawax) and installed the new tails (I smoked the stockers lol)

All I need is to do the bedliner coating and this truck will look waaay less like a work truck.

hope you enjoyed, Ill work better on my write ups lol

Very nice work on that one!

I cannot believe that she's starting to rust already though, that's a very late model truck. Covered under warranty I would think?

No the rust blooms are when pieces of metal embed in the paint and then oxidize it's only really noticable on white paint. Claying helps but more than likely I'll need a decon wash to nuetralize all the metal that the clay didn't grab

Turned out great ! Big improvement on the headlights and tails. True that a detailed truck is always nice ! :applause2:
