This car belongs to a girl i mess aroud with from time time, cough cough!!!! Her car was exceptionally dirty. She should have recieve a grant from the state of MS for all the dead bugs on the front of her car and windshield. The paint looked almst oxidized. Process: Wheels/Tires/ Wheel wells. DG901 shampoo used. Used a Mothers fender well brush, BM Tire brush and a wash mitt for the wheels. TW-Platinum chrome wheel cleaner. Let it set in for a couple of minutes and then went over the wheel with chenille mitt. Spray them off and left them. Next up was the car washing. DG#901 shampoo. 2 Lg TW m/f Mitts two bucket method with grit guard Sprayed the tires with TW-P Tire Spray and CG Fade 2 Black in the fender wells. Also used Stoners Tarminator for the dead bugs on the front and a few peices of tar Next up was the polish. Just at light polish. Products used - Flex, White Sonus pad, Obsessive detail - Light Polish on speed 3.5. The Flex was pretty warm when I got through polishing so I gave it a little bit of a break. After I finished with the wipe down of the OD Light Polish, I went at the interior of the car. Its small and packed in there. Started out vacuuming with my Vac N Blow. Then dressed the interior with Obsessive Detail- Silk Shine ( i love this stuff). Also dressed the weather stripping on the doors and dressed the door panels. Used Obsessive Details Leather conditioning spray on the seats. Sprayed on and massaged it in. Then cleaned the glass with SIG and m/f towels. After the polish I went with Obsessive Detail Wet Shine Glaze, using the Flex with a black LC Pad speed 2. Went on great and came off very very easy. Almost melts into the paint. The glaze was nice. It didnt take me to long at all to have it down and ready to takeoff! Last up was the Obsessive Detail- Wet Obsession wax. I did about one side of the car and then came back to remove it and it was really nice and easy to take off. It doesnt seem to gum up your rag. It was a joy putting it on and taking it off. The whole car took me about 4 hours to do. This car hasnt been cleaned in a couple of months atleast. I was the last person to clean it up. I've been meanig to get this car for about 2 weeks now in order to try out some new products and use several Obsessive Detail brand product. They all performed quite fine. Easy to use and the finished product looked nice. Sorry for all the pics. I havent done a detail in a while. Sorry no sun shots. I work nights and I got to clean this car up in a buddy's shop bay. Sorry I didnt get any good before shots. Thanks for looking guys!!! I hope to get your seals of approval. Happy Detailing.
Looks good Cooter. Some of the pictures have a lot of grain in them which is taking away from your work. Was this a freebe for a girl you mess aroud with from time to time, cough cough?
Yeah. It wasnt my camera. I didnt notice how the pics looked until I started uploading them to photobucket. Yeah, it was a freebie with fringe benefits!! =) I'll try to get some sun shots tomorrow without the grain!
Great recovery Heath! Nice glow on the red finish. It must be nice to wax the both of them.................:spank:
Wow, she must have given you the full monty the night before for you to do her car like this!!! Tell us MORE about it!!!
Well, I did get an advance on it sunday. Hoping to get the rest of the payment tonight!! Now its raining btw!!
pretty nice... pictures are a little big and grainy but the outcome of the car is awesome...so did you get happy ending after? hehe
I'm bummed about the pics. I used her camera which is suppose to be nicer than mine. I think I would have been better off using my own. The car really looked good. She was really stoked about it. No happy ending yet, but its all good. I know she's good for it!
Jamie, sorry I missed your question. I used Obsessive Detail Ultra Premiums. They're really really great towels. I tried messing with some of the pics.
