Well knowing that the car sat outside for so long while I was waiting for the motor rebuild drove me nuts. I could hardly wait to get the paint cleaned up. So Friday of last week I did a quick wash and wax. Boy was I NOT happy with the way the wax went on. No one's fault (if you want to call it that) but my own.
So today I decided I was going to ONR, clay, IPA wipedown, and then wax the car. Boy do I feel better now.
Just so you guys know I don't really car for rats with wings (pigeons) or sparrows. They seem to love black cars. :waiting:
So when I went outside this morning this is what I was greeted with:

Apparently it rained at some point overnight. Obviously I should have clayed before today so the water spots wouldn't have looked like this:

So at this point I decided a presoak with ONR would be a very good idea:

Once the ONR bath was done, I did the IPA wipe down to strip the wax I had put on the car a few days ago. I wanted to start fresh.

After the IPA wipe down came the clay. I was shocked at how clean the clay was. I was expecting the clay to go from yellow-green to black..LOL

So the claying is done, now it's time for the LSP. My LSP of choice today was Supernatural.
Oh look at the Supernatural hazing up. Now to be quite honest I was surprised at how easy Supernatural went on and came off.

This is what it looked like when I was finished.

Guess what it's raining AGAIN. I don't mind so much because I saw how nice the water is beading on the paint now. Before I clayed I had a ton of snail trails and huge water spots.

Car looks great BTW! Glad to see you are happy now and that it's back up and running. My car was down for about 6 months while I rebuild/replaced practically everything on the motor...good times!

    Thank you.
I try. It works great. The clay I was using seems to enjoy it.
Thanks. Yes, the motor sounds totally different than before.
    Thanks.
