That was a dirty Hummer. Finally someone who can take the heat off me for my photography!!oke:: How many hours to do it total? Any polishing other than wash?
I wish I had a garage that large to do details in. How do you like that shop vac that you are using, its the Pro Rigid model isn't it? Good save on that interior.
Ya I know I need a better camera and a tripod. Don't do more than a one step polish. That's why I Joined this site. I want to learn paint correction. Then decide if risk is worth reward before offering it to a client
Looks great Dale! And you came to the right place if you want to learn more. So for your 1-step corrections, what products are you using? I have had good luck with: Makita 9227 w/ 3M Perfect-It backing plate M105 w/ PFW P203S w/ Green DD pad PO85RD w/ Blue DD pad It's fun :applause2:
Ya see I use a Porter Cable  Black Pearl Premium Polish I'm undecided weather or not I want to buy a Rotary and learn correction.
Its the pro 6hp, noise reduction. Got it last year. Like a good woman, it to can suck the chrome off a bumper...been using Rigid for years shampooing. Wouldn't mind an extractor. Just don't want to pay $1000 for it unless I know for sure that it does a better job in shorter time.
After you do a car like that do you talk to the customer about preventative maintenance or do you just let them go on and wait till they come back?
Depends....There are customers and there are client's Customer's I up sell scotch guarding to help prevent stains. Clients on the other hand, I normally through that in because it helps me in the long run as I'm there weekly, bi weekly or monthly to do maintnaice cleaning. I also recommend to everyone to buy Weather Tech custom mats for winter. They have high ridges to keep the salt and slush on the mats and off the carpeting!
