Just recently completed in the shop, this "New to my client" M3 is nice............the theme was everything CSL including the Carbon fiber Roof.

    On to the work.

One of the wheels needed to be sent out for repair.

Just a little bit of road grime.

The wheel repair guys love me because I send them the wheels to be repaired like this............. after the wheel came back the rest of the wheel weight residue was removed as they only painted the face this time.

Underside of the car had a "Layer of dirt".

As the entire car was re-sprayed, I would later find quite a bit of "Sand scratch tracers" which are worse than DA sand scratches...............and the tracers were deep in some areas due to dry paper and too much pressure.

Car is lighter now with the removal of the mud bath it took.

    Close up of the defects.

Making good progress during the heavy compounding step.

Another example of the deep marring/RIDS.

    Trim was looking awful.

    Trunk 50/50.

    Left driverside rear quarter.

Levelled but with compounding hazing to be polished out.

    Cowl area with marring.

    Defects levelled.

    RIDS near trunk keyhole.

    Making headway.

Rear bumper was especially messed up, as bad as it gets.

    Cleaning up the severe defects.

50/50 on the topside of the rear bumper.

More defects on the passengerside door.

Previously mentioned sand tracers near gas filler door.

    After heavy corrective steps.

Evidence of the re-spray(Other than the sand scratches that is) with a smooth texture devoid of the usual heavy orange peel on factory BMW finishes.

    Mirror during medium polishing step.

    Fine polished.

    Crusty dry wheel wells.

Much better....to show the KW tightness.

Had a deadline to keep..........so sometimes a "All nighter" is required.

Purple like substance all over the Nav screen, so here is 50/50 to show just how bad it was.

A very slight amount around the leading edge of the screen was just not coming off(1.5 hrs later).

CG "Blacklight" by hand with "the slowness", even still a slight amount just would not budge.................I have run into this before on a nav screen in a Gallardo Superleggera before.

Amazing work Bob! The "tightness" has been restored LOL :) I have that issue with out ML 350's navigation screen and it cleans up to a degree with Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer but its not fully gone. I dont have CG Blacklight but I have CG Ez-Creme do you think I will do the trick? Also what applicator did you use to do it, thanks.

I have tried Redbull and it makes my stomach hurt. !

But 5-hour Energy does not and really give me more go-power in those wee hours of the AM. :)

Actually anything with caffeine/taurine/ephedra etc..... will cause me "Issues" my "Secret drink" which of course will not be a secret anymore ......is FRS energy drink, mixed berry = Winning. I hope nobody thinks i put a pic like the time on my phone to "Show off", it was and is to show no matter what car you are working on extra effort on anything pays off whether it is actually money or a sense of accomplishment that correction at a high level requires.

One person says it was a inspiration and I am glad of that reaction, as there are plenty of you working hard like this where maybe there isn't a write up to show because the car is not a "European exotic", as long as your customer is thrilled and cash comes into the coffers the goal is acheived. As I turn 49 on Monday I still enjoy doing the cars(Most of the time...............) and do not feel like a loser because "I am a old guy washing cars" my clients still need me and I can do it still at a high level and I love cars.......................what else do you need?.
