This is a detail I did in January, here are some before pictures, mind you this is after a wash, and yes i did buy the truck in this condition but i was able to talk the dealer down because i told him it needed a repaint. after wash, out in the sun at 9 am :har: so my process was two bucket wash the car with nxt shampoo next clay the entire car because it had overspray from the repair on the side door. PC 7424 with megs 83 with lc orange pad PC 7424 with m09 with white pad PC 7424 with m07 show car glaze (to protect new paint) PC 7424 to put 2 coats of nxt 2.0 for protection The car came out 90% corrected, I needed something stronger than 83 for the RIDS, and some of the scratches, but honestly its a daily driver, as long as it looks good from 5 feet thats all i care about. so without further ado, The afters: ninja edit: In the next week or two, I'll probably redo this car with the dewalt i just purchased and finish it out 99% as of today the suv looks good and about 85% swirl free, I don't use meguiars products on it, as I am in love with prima hydro for that big tank
Good for you!! You should take it back to the dealer and show him. You just doubled the value of that truck!! Congrats.
Awesome job. I wonder if the neighbors will come over soon and ask you if you bought a new truck, haha.
Well done, great turn around :worship2: Boy I have to admit that vehicle has some wicked swirls/scartches :woo: I can't help but admire swirls...knowing that I can completely remove them that is :giggle: Thanks for sharing opcorn: we need more pictures though :flirt:
Wow, the before pics almost made me cry but the after ones were worth it. The truck looks amazing, way to use the horrible paint condition as a deal maker. How did the inside look, did it look as bad or was the paint the only part that was not taken care of well. I agree with Nica, MORE PICS!
Haha no my neighbor came out and was watching me and asking what kind of wax i was applying. i washed and waxed it ill post it here in a bit the inside was in good condition with the exception of the second row...the seats were never moisturized so they are cracked. its alright since we use that to haul our lab around lol thanks for the awesome feedback guys!
