The customer originally wanted a full bore correction, but he had to have the SUV back by 5 pm... and it was a real mess... so I could only do about a 80% corrections ( lots of scratches left on the truck. On the hood and front fenders, I started with Orange CCS and Intensive Polish. But then he called at 1 pm and the rest of the truck was cut with P85RD and a White CCS because I had to get my ass in gear. Tar, RIDS, Sap . Oh yeah.. this one had it all. Looks good. Did you notice any faint hologramming in the paint (did you do a prep sol wipe down prior to waxing)? I have done 5 Range Rover SC's in the last couple weeks and find that paint nearly impossible to finish down hologram free! Very nice work on what I have found to be very difficult paint to correct. Bravo.
I have never had an issue since slowing down my passes... i keep the makita at 2 for final passes.. But I also wash out the pads every few panels. Or I find that I get chatter. I used Menzerna Top Inspection in the photos where im showing the finish with the light. Because I used a pre cleaner before the wax, that really insures that I get all the oils off from the 106ff. But.. because I was on a time crunch, I could not let the wax dry between coats ( did 2 in a row .. back to back ) and it was pretty warm and humid ( 27C ) so I did get a bit of oily streaks outside. A bit of Victoria QD cleared it up well.. That wax needs about 40 min cure time before another wipe, but I didnt have the tme.
I love it.. I use it every day and its edging out my Dodo Use... It sets well, and it cures fast. The soap and QD and fantastic. Made in Canada! Yay!! LOL
Wow man you guys are fast 8hrs wow that's not much time on a large size SUV and they are large. I agree the paint on these vehicles, I found to be on the soft side and can put up a fight but you guys did a great job. I love Victoria, such a great wax :worship2: :worship2:
