I recently picked up a 2002 porsche in Seal Grey Metalic. The paint is in pretty good condition with the small spyder, and swirl marks. Needs a claying but I'm new to Porsche and their paints. The car is not a daily driver but is use a few days a week. looking to create a deep wet look that is also durable. I have a pc and some Adams product left in the garage. Any help would be appreciated
oooh a Porche nice...well the key to a nice deep, wet look begins with the prep work, meaning the polishing process needs to be done flawless to be able to achieve that great deep, wet look that we all love. I'm not familiar with Adams my self so I can't really comment on that particular line but what kind of foam pads do you own? The PC should take care of the clear coat of the Porsche, for the most part Porsche clear coat is a bit on the soft side but I have ran across some that have hard clear coat  Porsche have the tendency to have the famous sticky clear coat so if the PC spits out some chuncks of polish that's a good indication that your in for a rough time. Polishing products I've used that work well are Menzerna and 3M UK products. So um...where are the pictures of the vehicle
If its just light swirls etc, try Menz new Power Finish on a Green or Orange CCS pad. If you've got time, Menz SIP on Green or White followed by Menz PO85rd on Black. Beautiful! My Passat Wagen is charcoal grey and its got 4 or 5 coats of Werkstat Carnauba Jett on it. Looks Awesome.
Thanks for the information. I have been using CCS 6.5 inch pads on my pc. I have white, orange, black and red depending on the job. Mostly the Adams product I used were their clay bar, detailer and undercarrige products. I have some friends that use Pin XMT #1,2,and 3 depending on the correction. Any of you used these products? Have not tried the menz or Werkstat products but will look into those as well. Thanks again:thumb:
Seal gray is very forgiving and on an '02 paint isn't as soft IMHO, as the newer paint formulas. Menz will work very nice on it. As 911 Fanatic suggests, the new Menz and green pad may do the trick. If you don't want to go "exotic" I really like the look of IZ's Glanz wax.
