The owner of this vehicle approached me when I was doing some work for his neighbour and asked if I could take a look at his summer toy. He mentioned the car is only driven in the winter and has under 25k. So i figured the paint would be in somewhat decent shape. I was completely wrong. The condition of the paint on this black Thunderbird was by far the worst I have ever seen. The entire car had a grey hue and had absolutely zero gloss or shine. Clearly this vehicle had been the victim of improper washing techniques. The owners budget limited me to a single stage polish so I did what I could to remove the most defects while still leaving a nice finish. I also did a basic interior and engine detail.

    Process:

    Interior
    Vacuumed
    Wiped down with OPC 3:1
Seats protected with OPT Protectant Plus

    Exterior
    Wheels cleaned with OPC 3:1
Tires and whells cleaned with Zep Purple 4:1
    Pre soak with OPC 3:1
    Washed with Duragloss 902
Clayed with Riccardo Yellow & ONR
Compounded with D300 and Microfiber cutting pad
Polished + Sealed with Optimum Poliseal on a white pad
    Glass cleaned with Stoners IG
Tires dressed with Optimum Tire Shine

Thanks. It's amazing what crappy car washes can do to a car.

Great Job Nick, I could learn some things from you. We should correct a car together.
