The owner of this vehicle approached me when I was doing some work for his neighbour and asked if I could take a look at his summer toy. He mentioned the car is only driven in the winter and has under 25k. So i figured the paint would be in somewhat decent shape. I was completely wrong. The condition of the paint on this black Thunderbird was by far the worst I have ever seen. The entire car had a grey hue and had absolutely zero gloss or shine. Clearly this vehicle had been the victim of improper washing techniques. The owners budget limited me to a single stage polish so I did what I could to remove the most defects while still leaving a nice finish. I also did a basic interior and engine detail. Process: Interior Vacuumed Wiped down with OPC 3:1 Seats protected with OPT Protectant Plus Exterior Wheels cleaned with OPC 3:1 Tires and whells cleaned with Zep Purple 4:1 Pre soak with OPC 3:1 Washed with Duragloss 902 Clayed with Riccardo Yellow & ONR Compounded with D300 and Microfiber cutting pad Polished + Sealed with Optimum Poliseal on a white pad Glass cleaned with Stoners IG Tires dressed with Optimum Tire Shine Vehicle upon arrival Wheels and Wheel Wells pretty dirty Dirt build up behind license plate Filthy Engine DIrt build up on door panel Now for the nasty part - the paintwork Close up with LED In the Sun Clay picked up tons of contaminants Wash Stage 50/50 Polishing Shots came out a bit blurry Decent correction for a one step After polishing the fenders. The paint actually shines now! Interior cleaned up Engine looking much better Exterior Afters Thanks for looking!
