This one was handed to me by my girlfriend She said I want to give my friend a wash and wax for her birthday..... I said good, tell her to bring it on over. I haven't detailed anything in over month, due to time restraints and my other job. Sorry upfront for no befores as to my camera will only operate on KODAK batteries, don't ask cause I don't know! So after I was done I went to Wal-mart and got some new re-chargeables for it. First inspection found vertical wool burn marks from Carmax they place she purchased the truck from. They were everywhere!!!! Also I found out she had been keeping the inside clean but with Georgia water restrictions the vehicle can't be washed at home or your in for a ticket...yada...yada...yada... Long story short 6 months no wash... And I'm doing a free paint correction Wash Cycle CWG Via Foam gun and long handle brush get all the cracks clean. Degreased Engine with Awesome APC, but did not dress. Dried with towel and air compressor Paint Correction Clay with blue magic clay and BM lubricant SIP via Cyclo with orange Edge Pad working 2x2 areas Paint Protection Magic 845 via PC and 5.5 3M Foam Finishing Pad Speed 2 Let it sit for 10 minutes and removed by hand with blue indigo MF LSP Malco Aquawax was applied after quick water rinse to remove polishing dust. Tires Cleaned with awesome APC DP Gloss tire gel via AG applicator Trim Tried something different, layered all black plastic with NXT 2.0 with yellow applicator and removed with MF Wheels Cleaned with Meg's Wheel Brightner (5*) - Thanks to Bradley I'm sticking with this as my goto wheel cleaner! Lightly coated the wheels with Malco's Aquawax via MF and hand. Glass Cleaned with the best Surf City and my own waffle-weave towels. I didn't coat the fenderwells like I always do, because we had some high winds and I didn't fell like doing it by hand. The paint made up for that!!! Enjoy
don't you hate it when some of the "free" corrections are some of your best work? Great job on the detail! Carmax is horrible...even I know that and I haven't seen or been to one of their dealerships.
looking spiffy there bro... surprised to see cyclo finish off SIP so well... although I know ur secret!!!
Till now I've never tried SIP, and boy it's a great polish! I worked it till it started to flash off using medium pressure then just lifted and let the cyclo work break down the rest. The wet look is the secret Here is the other fender
Great job there...mmm....blue..:druling: :druling: I really like this picture though: Just look at the relfection on the back end :applause: well done :thumb: thank you for sharing.
Appreciate the comps everyone. I gotta surprise coming in Monday that the GF don't know about, but look for some crazy corrections to come soon!!
Great work there, I do love a blue vehicle. Hate to hear you haven't been detailing much and look forward to seeing more of your work.
