About a month ago I detailed this 2001 Lexus LS 430 with 76k miles. It took me 2 days to get it up to this condition, and yesterday I had the chance to hand wash it and vacuum it out and decided to take a few pics. The car was transported from Texas to NJ on an open carriers and needed some attention when it arrived. Here was the exterior process: Wash and clayed. Buffed with Hi Temps HCL Yellow wool. Final buff with 3M Ultrafina Green foam. Sealed with Klasse SG. The interior took me about 5 hours, due to the fact that the previous owner was a smoker. So the interior was thorough cleaned and all the carpeting was heavily shampooed and extracted. Then a full 10 hours of ozone killed any lingering smoke odors. The leather was cleaned with Meguiars APC 20:1 diluted and then treated with Colorplus Leather softner. All interior non leather surfaces were cleaned with Meguiars APC 20:1 then dressed with Stoners Trimshine then buffed with a MF towel for matte look. All wood was hand polished with Ultrafina, and cleaned with a carnubu spray wax. Wheels are rechromed OEM wheels from a wheel exchange, and the rear badges are new because old badges were gold and faded. Took a lot of time and pride in this detail, because it now belongs to my wife. She loves it !!!
Oh, yeah! Love that LS, and love that detail! Soft luxurious leather, and quiet interior...make me wanna get a Lexus...
