Here is a 250+ picture write up on a B5 S4 Waxwerks (me) and Franki over at OverTime Detail collaborated on. Customer wanted a pinstripe removal as well as a 80% correction on exterior and interior vacuum + wipe down. Franki made a sick video with his new crane and slider, check us out and PM me for any more information! Onto the write-up :)

LOL this car is on the market and I miss the ones I had in 12 years ago.

in short my first car 2000 Audi S4 picked got stolen, got another one in 03 and it just was never the same both of them were sedans...my wife and I would love to pick up a wagon if we could.

    one of our favorites.

Looks like you guys had fun, car turned out nice and with the rare color you do not see everyday. Quick thought though guys the pinstripe removal erasur rubber is I think designed for tape pinstripe if I remember right, also are the rails metal on that car?, could have sworn they were painted opaque silver but it has been awhile since I have done a older S4 wagen.

Again hard work you put in shows.

Thanks for the kind words AC!

That's what I was thinking when I was talking to franki about it. I thought the rubber was for vinyl pinstripes, not painted on pinstripes. Regardless, wetsand with 2000 grit and a 4" wool on the flex pe14 did the trick to remove it, looks as if it wasn't even there!

all in all... its not a full correction, there are some water etching we couldn't fully remove. Lots of RID and deep swirls that requires another step or so. But its what the client was comfortable with paying for a 2 step and his happy with it.

That is a great tip, I have removed plenty of tape........ never a painted one, never thought much how to approach it. Love the color. great job fellas

If the stripes are painted, spray with Easy Off ( no shit ), wait 2 minutes until stripe starts to run and wipe off with MF towel. Done. Won't harm the clearcoat. :)
