2000 Ram 1500 Sport with 66k miles, never been detailed before. Customer had limited budget. Wash - CG CW+G (high concentrate to remove wax if any and bugs) Clay - Megs white Clay lube - Megs LT (50/50) AIO - Megs D151 and DG 501 (This combo was awesome 151 gave some nice cut and 501 cleaned really well, mixed on pad 2 to 2) Pads- Megs MF cutting discs Wheels - Sonax FE Wells/tires/Engine - Megs APC+ 4 to 1 Dressings - Megs ASD on tires, wells, and all exterior plastics Engine - Megs WBD Windows - Stoners IG (Bad water spots customer didn't want them removed $$$$$$) Wheels - DG All Metal Polish Interior: Megs APC + 10 to 1 - Brushed carpets and mats, light spritz of water and then wet vac Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel - leather and Vinyl (UISG) worked awesome on the interior Megs WBD - entire interior ( I tested severl different interior products, but I wanted something that would darken and give a nice sheen to the interior bc the plastic and vinyl were so dried out, Megs WBD at 1 to 3 did a great job)
Megs APC+ 10 to 1 on seats, wasn't happy with results UISG did much better Mothers VLR Aerospace 303 Megs Vinyl 40 Megs QID The Megs WBD (I know its cheap shit), but for some reason it just made everything look brand new and even darkened the cheap fake walnut trim. Note: I have used Megs WBD on my work car interior months ago and it still looks good and that cars interior takes a beaten. I wasn't going to use UIGP on this interior bc customer was on a budget.
Thanx. Most of my jobs are everyday cars and the before an afters are very dramatic, unlike cars that are already well kept and just need a little extra polish and buff sorta speak.
Looking good ! I do not understand the combo of M151 and DG 501. If the M151 has more cut, it will clean so why use the DG 501.
These 2 products are relatively inexpensive, it is my understanding the D151 has abrasive cleaners and DG501 has chemical cleaners and D151 is not known for durability and DG501 is known for great durability. So I decided to try combining the 2 at 1 to 1 on the pad, work it into the paint speed 4-5 then end with speed 3 and let dry to a haze. If you have both try it out.
