Of course, it was discovered on accident, truth be told. We were doing some prep work for the install of these... Which involved using Acetone, and come to find out it also works great for removing impurities and even scuff marks from plastic headlamps. Finishing them off with generic clear plastic polish afterwards.
Ah, yes.. Acetone. I've used it before with other plastics, like lexan and plexiglass. You need to use caution because it can also cause the plastic to haze. Your lights turned out excellent.
