I've searched and I haven't really gotten a clear-cut (no pun intended) description of how good this polish is. I'm getting some soon to replace my SSR line. I'd imagine it's better than the SSR line, but I'm wondering how it is in comparison to Menzerna or Prima. I'll be using this for quite a while but if it still isn't as good as Menzerna, even if it's still pretty good, I might keep it around in the instances that Menzerna acts up.
Prima Swirl is very similar to Prima Swirl. Prima Finish might be similar to 106FF but I don't know since I haven't had a chance to test it yet... I'll be doing a comparison of Prima Swirl/Finish, Menzerna SIP/106FF, and the 1Z Pro line up on a Jag bootlid after I finish finals though. If you are willing to wait 2 weeks for a PC test...
I'll most likely be getting it sooner than that but I'd love to know the results of this comparison though.
Sure thing. Well, no matter what, you will not be disappointed with the Menzerna line or Prima Swirl :thumb:
They are having a big Close out sale on the pro line at AutoGeek. It's the 5L...go to Specials Values and go all the way down to the bottom of the page. It's like 45.00 for the 5L- 3 kinds of polish...:thumb:
I still have yet to finish the '89 BMW 525i sitting in my driveway so I think I'll be doing comparison tests to see whether there are any new products that will supersede my go-to polishes of M105/SIP/UF. I'll be out of classes in a week, hehe.
I have used the Intensive Paste, and it's very nice. Excellent for the price, and I believe it's along the same lines as SIP.
Bringing this thread back.... AG is having a close out sale on 1z pro polishes, the 5L jugs. I jumped on that and bought a 5L of Intensive Paste. I havent used it yet, but I just compared 1z IP to SIP by feel. You can definitely feel the abrasives more in 1z IP compared to SIP. 1z IP also feels more watery. Ive got a detail this weekend, so Ill give an update after I use it.
Ah, you beat me to it D&D! I have to use some more 1Z IP again to remind me how it compares to SIP. The last time I used the 1Z polishes from what I recall, I wasn't too impressed.
I ended up with 5L jugs of all 3 (I ordered the 1L bottles from Phil, got a discount on that price, and he decided to send me 5L jugs instead!) I'm wondering about the useful shelf life. Can I just shake the jugs from time to time (hehe) to make sure they don't separate/clump up? Also, I read that the Wax Finish is actually a glaze, not a finishing polish. Is this true? I haven't had a chance to use any of them yet. What specifically were you not impressed with, Denzil? From what I've read previously, it seems you have to keep the speed down when using these.
LoL, yeah I'm sure it isn't but keep in mind that I haven't had extensive experience with this line. I still have some product left from my original quarts so my opinion may change when I finally finish the bottle. Well, being a Menzerna user, I was expecting the 1Z Proline to compete directly with Menzerna's line at a fraction of the cost. Like I previously mentioned, I don't have all that much experience with the line just yet. I'm convinced that my opinion may change and hopefully for the better (since it's cheaper). I did follow the directions according to each respective polish and to me it seemed like I didn't get all that much correction capability. Anyway, I plan on attacking my Dad's Nissan Altima before I go back to school for the spring semester. I plan on exclusively working with the 1Z Proline polishes in order to get a much better feel for them so I know for certain whether it'll fit my personal arsenal or not. If you're interested to hear my findings, stay tuned I guess.
Of course! Thanks for the clarification. I was just more or less wondering if there was a specific issue I should be on the lookout for when I try them out. In addition to the 1Z Proline, I did buy a quart of PG to sort of complete the range of aggressiveness.
