Well fellas ... I guess it finally happened. They dropped down the price of the 1st gen by 26 bucks. Paint Meter, Paint Gauge, Paint Gage - HighLineMeter.com
He already got the Harbor Freight one for $10 Hey G, I'll pay you $26 for that harbor freight one and you can get the Highline :thumb:
Are you serious about buying my hf paint meter?? Let me know. And yes Mr. Roger ... I will be buying one, but prolly the 2nd gen though :
besides the obvious? shape, size, the 2nd gen has a larger easier to read screen. i think the 2nd gen might be smaller an slimmer, easier to pocket it.
Hi, I emailed them with the same question before I bought mine, this was their reply. Bob Good morning Bob, > > The HighLine Meter 1st GEN has a smaller screen, therefore it is less > prone to screen damage. It is also going to last longer because it > uses 4 AAA batteries. > > The HighLine Meter II is slightly smaller, lighter and is sleeker in > its form factor. > > Aside from that, both models are the best budget category paint meters
Yes sir. It may not be as accurate, but I don't need absolute precision, just to know if it's thin, has a healthy amount of paint, or was repainted. It's still pretty accurate right? Definitely hold onto that for me, and just give me a price and I'll pick it up sometime, I'm home from school till about the 11th.
is the gen 1 worth the money i know its not top of the line but its still $200 and idk if i shout just save up for a better one or will this one do just fine anyinput?
^^I borrowed my friends 1st gen to check the paint of my new car. Worked well as it was fairly consistent. I think its worth it no matter which model you buy
I was wondering. Any canadians bought this and had it shipped via UPS? I know UPS charge a LOT for broker fees when they do deliver it to your house. I know for a fact that they won't ship it thru USPS. Anyone? thanks! -Marc
The company that sells these here in the US is just right across the boarder in metro-Detroit. I know because when I purchased mine, I went and picked it up -Marc P.S. nice name
