Recently completed, this vehicle is owned by the same client I just did a Stradale for so I think he favors the color Red in his vehicles.......just a little bit. This vehicle has had paintwork over the entire exterior and although a nice paint job the sanding/cutting/polishing the car was not up to standard in which I was tasked to finally get the car looking beautiful once again. Examples of sanding defects left behind. Holograms and other nasty defects on a recent re-spray. Trunk lid 50/50 pic. Opposite angle. Contrast of marring in the finish on the cowl , to the freshly corrected adjacent panel. Front bumper re-sprayed as well, more defects and shrink....................... heavy cutting required to fix these issues. Yes..........................this bumper was painted just over five weeks ago.................. paint finish rescue in progress. More sand scratches(About this time I wanted to whisper sweet nothings into the ear of the painter and/or shop who committed this crime lol) Finish ready for film coverage(Entire front end). More crimes committed ..........................overspray & general deep marring and sanding scratches. Overspray issue dealt with, now onto correction of the scratches. After compounding and first polishing pass. Broke up the task of the correction on the Whale Tail with the tedious task of getting the built up crust aka "Road Butter" out of the badge edges. Besides machine correction(Yes there were sand scratches on the louvers) quite a bit of work was performed with the "Elbow grease machine". Badge is clean now as removal was not a option in this case. About this time my film arrived, and he prepped for the install, all the headlights and blinkers etc....... were removed. Note built up compound in the headlight cove. Now ..................."With the cleaness".
Door starting to get "The look". Matte Maserati MC sharing the shop with the Ruf Porsche. Tail -light correction. Marring on NEWLY painted rear bumper. No description needed....... Door cups marred badly. Honestly not 100% correction possible, but a huge improvement. Whale tail louvers DIR status, the Whale Tail would require a whole day to compound as it required delicate touch due to single stage finish. Wheels on point. A thing of beauty. Center positioned tips with the tightness status. Another Whale Tail pic as I was VERY happy with the results as this part of the car was in distress due to un-qualified hands. Film looking good. Almost did not get sun pics(This would not have made me happy...............).
That's sharp - beyond excellent craftsmanship! Photos are somewhat pixelated on my computer though, seems the image compression has spoiled the quality a bit. No bad intentions - just stating what caught my eyes. Kind regards, Ebbe
Simply incredible vehicle, and a top-notch detail worthy of this machine. Fantastic work Bob, and the louvers are true DIR status!
Beautiful car and stunning work Bob. What an improvement. Typical body shop "mistakes" that require a real professional to take care of!
Awesome work and attention to detail, Bob! I especially like the work done on the tail as that must have been a very tedious task! I know my fingers would have been cramping up like crazy!
