This is a detail of a 1993 Acura NSX. The car was purchased by the owner several years ago in Chicago and has been garage kept. It was in excellent shape but the client was looking for more of an extensive detail than from the regular shop he was using. The prior shop left wax in all of the crevices and basically made a mess of the car. It was up to me to bring it up to the proper standards. The day started off wonderful with superb weather here on the East Coast. Perfect for detailing. The paint had some swirling and the client was really interested in full correction and just wanted a simple polish and cleanup. Everything was going fine on the detail until my Flex 3401 decided to give me problems. I noticed that lint from the backing plate ring was starting to shoot out when I was using it. Just after that I noticed a burning smell coming from the Flex. I stopped and pulled the backing plate off and noticed that it has started to get chewed up and melt. This was very frustrating as I knew about Flex BP issues and was always careful to make sure that my BP was tight and that I didn't apply to much pressure. I guess I will be making some phone calls tomorrow. Anyway onto the detail. lol..yea just a little sarcastic here lol...but seriously I didn't know the spare tire was there..I thought it was in the trunk?
Nice job. a $120k car from Honda and to this day they still hold a good deal of their value at $60k+ for very well cared for ones and even still $20-40k for neglected examples.
I believe the car retailed for around $90k new. Where was this car located? looks like the one I saw in the beginning of the month on my way to a detail job!! Nice work. car looks great :thumb:
