Yup Karl. He's just waiting for the hub rings to arrive. I believe that yesterday he had the tires mounted.

    Nice work Drew!

Did you notice any weird scuffs around the wheel well openings or stains on the lower rockers?

Yes, I will post the pic after he gets it properly mounted ;)
Thanks Chad! Yes, the stains on the lower rocker. It was on his R and his GTI. :shead:

Thanks! Would be nice to know where it comes from as the two R's I've done had the wheel well scuffs and one had bad staining on the rocker.

Looks like the staining on the rockers are from the lube used on the door hinges. It was on both of the GTI and the R.

That would definitely make sense given the location...I just can't imagine why they would use a product that stains the paint like that. It took a good amount of polishing the fix them on the one I did.

How bad was the stain? What did you use to clean it up?

It was pretty bad IMO. I hit it with D300/MF a couple time first and thought it was gone but came back after a few IPA wipe-downs. Ended up having to hit it with M101 a couple times.

Was hard to capture in pics...

yup, that's what it looked like as well. I used Scholls S3 Gold/ Rupes green pad on it.

How do you like the S3? I've been thinking of getting some to go along with my s17 and s40.

S3 Gold and not S3 ;) I like it a lot and I find it cutting better than M101 and can be used as a 1 step.
If I had a lot of it, it would be my go to only for everything.
