This customer was referred to me by a fellow forum member (nyrep1). I met with the customer two weeks ago to assess the condition of the vehicle and discussed what he would like to have done to it. The results you see here is actually off a 1 1/2 step (I finally moved away from nothing but 1 steps, hooray for me!) Wheels before: Here's how they looked after: Here are before shots of the car, I thought the paint was in pretty bad condition...... you be the judge And the after..... Of course with my luck I finished the car AFTER sunset (The usual?), so I did the best I can with the light that was in the garage. At this point the owner of the vehicle called his girlfriend down to look at the car, needless to say she was impressed, and wanted me to do her Mercedes next (Fingers crossed guys, that one would be fun!)
Beautiful work. I'm looking forward to seeing your work on the Mercedes, I hope she follows through with getting it detailed properly.
Looks awesome! Is that tire shine sling all over the rims in the first picture? Paint looks great. I really like the accord coupe's espcially the V6's too bad their concept car looks IDENTICAL to the current model. Saw it at the DC auto show and it wasn't anything impressive for sure.
thanks for doing a great job mike...i talked to the owner last night and he was very pleased ...you saved me from having to work while im in cali on vacation next month lol
Thank you. I sure am excited about a Mercedes, a light color metallic at that. I can finally take out my makita and do multiple steps with that super hard paint. Thank you. it drizzled the morning before the detail. I think that's just the dirt being drizzled on and dried. Thanks bud, no wonder you told me thank you when I told you the car is done, LOL
looks good. What polish combo did you use and what machine? That paint is so soft it's not fun to work with. mars very easily from what i can remember.
Thanks, Kody! Thanks guys! I started around 7:40am, polishing step went from 10am to roughly 5:40pm. I used a variety of products, finally settling on D300 with mf cutting pad, finished that up around 3:30pm, rinsed the car to get rid of polishing oil, then followed up a few panels that were marred with Scholl Concept A15 on a BnS blue pad. Hence the "1.5 step". Thanks, Mike!
