Well this is the first car I have done for a high schooler. I know her Mom and she said the only thing her daughter wanted for Christmas was for me to detail her car. I made up a little gift certificate for her and her daughter called and scheduled her detail. The girl was so excited to have this done that I decided to hook her up and do a sealant and a wax. She told me that when they bought it at the dealership there were some scratches and swirls on the drivers door. The dealership said they would have their guy "fix" it whenever he came in. She asked if I could fix it so she didn't have to take it back to the place that put them in there in the first place. That was really the only paint correction to do. The car had some very minor minor swirling so I took care of that too. Well here's what I did: Tires/Wheels: Tires and wells got Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff. The wheels had some rough brake dust issues especially on the inside barrels so I used MS Wheel Brite. The tools used were Swissvax Brush, EZ Detail Brush, and Black Wheel Shmitt. The wells were dressed with MS Quick Details and the tires were dressed with Chemical Guys VRP. Man I do love this stuff on tires and I really love how I can use it on the interior too. This is an awesome product that everyone should have. Exhaust: The exhaust didn't look too bad but I figured since MS Wheel Brite makes wheels look so bright and shiny that I would try it on the exhaust. I sprayed it on and agitated it a little with my Black Wheel Shmitt and WOW! I was amazed at how well the exhaust came out with almost no effort. Take a look at a before and after: Engine: The engine got the ususal rinse, spray with MS SGS, agitate with brush, rinse, dry with leaf blower, and dress with MS QDs. Interior: For a high school female I was amazed at how the interior looked. It wasn't bad at all and I was pleasantly surprised. I wiped everything down with CGs Total Interior Cleaner and MF. All vinyl and plastic was treated with Optimum Interior Protectant except the woodgrain plastic parts. I have found the best thing for these pieces is DP Plex-All. I also used it on the gauge plastic and the radio display. She had a very small stain on the passenger floor where one of her friends spilled a drink. So after vacuuming the car I used CGs Lightning Fast Stain Extractor on the stain and then used my Little Green Machine Pro to get it up. I just got the LGM Pro as I really can't justify a real extractor right now and it did a real good job with the CGs Lightning Fast. I would hate to do an entire interior with this thing because as Nica told me it's slow. By the way thanks Nica for all the help on the LGM. :chest: The door jambs got CGs Synthetic QDer. Leather: Her leather looked kind of dingy so I decided to use Leather Master Strong Cleaner. I applied with a sponge (still not getting a lot of foam but more than before) and wiped off the excess with a white MF. I then applied Surf City Voodoo Leather Rejuvenator and the seats looked like new again. The more I use the LM the more I like it! Here are the before and afters of the seat (I'm getting better at my interior pics): Glass: Inside and out glass got my trusty CGs Glass Cleaner applied with a CGs El Gordo MF and wiped off with a guzzler. After everything was done I treated the windshield with a coat of DG Aquawax. According to MotorCity and Al-53 the customers LOVE this. I just started doing it to my vehicles and I know I love it! Wash: Well I used my favorite CGs Wash n Gloss in my foam cannon to wash. Clay: Clayed the car and used DP 4n1 as Clay lube. Paint: Ok like I said she had some issues on the drivers door so I used Menzerna 106ff and my Metabo with 3M bp and a 5.5" white lo pro pad and got rid of the swirls and scratches on the drivers door. Here are a few 50/50 shots but I think my flash screwed them up so they are not as visible as they were in person. Oh well the interior shots are better at least  : I then went on and polished the rest of the car with Menzerna PO85RD (Glad P1et convinced me to by this stuff with the great results he was having). I used the Flex and a 6" white Sonus pad that I got from Chris at eShine. These are the best pads if you have the 5.5" bp. I really wish I had bought more than 2 of these from Chris. Hey Chris if you need to get rid of any of these just send them to me I'll gladly take them off your hands :woot:. I ran the Flex on speed 5 and after buffing it off with a CGs black and yellow MF that red was glowing! Next up was a coat of CGs JetSeal 109 applied with my new Polishing Pal and a red 3.5" pad by hand. After removing that with a CGs edgeless MF I applied a coat of CGs Pete's 53 the same way and buffed off the same way. The girl was ecstatic and it was very profitable for me that she was because in two days I got 4 bookings from her referral with one being a full paint correction! She was so thrilled with it, she said it looked better than the day she bought it and I told her that's what I was going for. I don't think her dad was all that pleased though because the next day it rained and she booted his new truck out of the garage and wouldn't drive it to school so it wouldn't get wet! Well here are the pics: As always all comments and advice welcomed!
I saw the preview for it and I'm glad I waited because WOW that looks awesome! Very very nice work, I am impressed with how the interior worked out as well! I have a gallon on the way! Looks like I should have gotten some Optimum Interior Protectant as well, looks like a nice product. STELLAR WORK!!!
Very nice. Is that 'Milano Red"? I had an Acura Integra that color, it REALLY polishes up nice. So tell us the real reason you decided to 'hook her up' with extra stuff...
Very nice wolfpacker :headbang: Love how the interior came out, the leather seats are looking new! Jetseal + petes 53 seems like a nice combo. Still can`t get your car out of my mine with that combo. Glad to hear that see got you more work :joint::joint:
Vehicle looks great Wolf, loving the interior turn around buddy :applause: But the exaust tip looks great, I'll have to give MS Wheel Brite a go. Well done, that vehicle looks great. Thank you for sharing :thumb:
Thanks mate, other than the smell Optimum makes a killer interior protectant. Not sure what the actual color is but you are right man it did polish up quite nicely. And by the way she is drop dead gorgeous...man girls didn't look like that when I was a senior :joint:. Yeah pirex I'm lovin the Jetseal/Pete's combo. It hasn't let me down yet. The LeatherMaster did a job on those seats didn't it! Man I was quite impressed with how the Wheel Brite made the tip come out, and so easy too! Thanks Nica, I'm reading and learning and trying to get my interior work up to you guys. I have to admit they are a lot more fun when you finish them and they look good. Like I said I was really impressed with the Wheel Brite's ability. That was a pleasant surprise during the detail. Thanks bro! Man when I drove the car back to her I felt like everyone was looking at the car!
Basically yes. Majestic Solutions just re-bottles Megs Wheel Brightner as Majestic Solutions Wheel Brite. They are the exact same product.
Oh really...mmmm.....now I really need to use the Meg's Wheel Brite :thumb: Thanks for the info Wolf, I just wasent sure.
It's alive, the paint is alive!!! Nice work (no surprise here) I am a huge honda fan but the interior color scheme does nothing for me, wood, metal, black AND TAN:gross:, but man you "made it shiny" like you girl says!
